For example if you say 10% risk.
If equity is $3000 10% is $300.
If equity is $300 000 10% is $30 000.
Now risking $300 and $30 000 on a single trade is not the same thing even if % is same...

Gateway model - do you mean direct access to exchange? Does this access not require one to lease a seat, if so then would it not be prohibitively expensive for individual retail who trades markets at more than 10 exchanges world wide?
Most electronic broker platforms go down at some time. So changing broker only leads to same problems. Best is is to use two brokers in cases like this.

The exchange requirement is $5000/contract. If you have $9G your risk management techniques should give you the answer you seek.
However any suggestions with your $9G that you can trade up to 9 CL contracts with $1000 margin even if daytrading is foolhardy. Go ahead and try it you wont forget...
