Thanks Banjo, I find their comission for a buy and sell of 1000 oz totals about 6 1/2%. I was hoping to find a lower rate but maybe that is the going rate?? I have been a futures trader for awhile and this is a new one for me. Comments appreciated.

I have sometimes noticed quote discrepancies late in the day such as ask bring lower than the bid. It tends to slow up your action while increasing fear. Have a friend using Cyber Trader and he doesn't seem to have many problems. Although he has told me he prefers not to trade NYSE stocks.

RWK, Thank you for the good your information. Smart for NASD and NYSE for NYSE stocks. I am not familiar with TWSAPI. I must have some set up wrong with my TWS as it should be taking those late market orders. Do you have any more ideas or suggestions? Ron

I guess it would be nice if IB reps had the correct info as they told me different. Thanks. Changing brokers doesn't seem like fun as most seem to charge more. Maybe I need to get some tech assiatance and modify the TWS in some way.

I have tried twice to cover a position after 3:40 EST in the last two days with no luck. Also sometimes there is a lag time during the day with market orders. I an not understand this. Shouldn't your fill always come in a few seconds with a market order??
