JPMorgan Sees V-Shaped Recovery in U.S.

OK, great, I am already out of the market and tomorrow, I will take the last bit out. Enjoy that V shaped recovery while it lasts. I am convinced that any stock market returns going forward will be nominal and not real returns.

A runaway deficit may soon test Obama’s luck; Niall Ferguson

He will just go to the podium and give one of his well prepared and thought out speeches. And we will all live happily thereafter. Masses will cheer for the change one more time. If nothing else works, we can always blame George W for allour problems.

Hard times continue for German machine tools

Its a sad thing for the German tools and autos. They build the long to last and I like what they make, but the stuff is just too expensive and becomes uncompetitive. Its the high taxes in Germany that makes their stuff so expensive.

Overdraft fees hand US banks $38bn

If you are a bank owner, will it be OK for people not to make their payment on time. How will you manage your books and capital ratios if the payments are unpredictable. Having said that, they really charge crazy fine for the late payment, I mean 25-35 easy.

On the contrary, people with least ownership are the ones who vote, do you think any of those billionaires stand in the line and actually vote. Most who make more than 200K generally vote much less than people who make considerably less.

    This Depression is just beginning

Brilliant Idea. You are making some assumptions though. You think that for a family of 4, $5256 is a small amount each year. Guess again. There are tens of millions of people who just can not pay. So, that $3.6 has to be revised to $5 per person at the very least, so $7300 per year. Now...

I am on this site because I find more intelligence here than on most boards. I am not saying that trading can not be done. The odds are heavily against you and just hard word is not enough.

De Beers Profits Fall 99%: Says "Sales Have All But Vanished In Last 6 Months"

I agree, but what I am saying is based on personal experience. Buy a diamond ring in India and it will cost you 5-10 times to buy that same ring in US. They will take it out very delicately out of the showcase and that is where the cost is, yes, for showing it to you delicately.

A move from XP to Windows 7, not so easy.

I think all those people who have plenty of time on their hand, and plenty of money to spend on the new OS, and absolutely nothing better to do, should upgrade to 7. Does Microsoft really think that we are all as excited about what they do as they themselves are. Instead of upgrading their...

Diamonds are not scam, their price and marketing is. You want a big stone, go to India and buy one, there is about 500% markup in us on diamond rings. So, that $3000 ring in US can be had in india for a lot less.

Living paycheck to paycheck - must be hard wired

Printing money in that respect, becomes a Tax that is not charged from the people directly, something the poor would not have to pay anyways. But, rich also lose so much more in their dollar savings and investments. Not to mention, rich buy more and they par more in inflation. I have to...

Living paycheck to paycheck - must be hard wired

Being frugal is not welcomed in this society even though we are almost all broke. I was walking in a walmart and there was a lady collecting donation for something, and I stopped by took out my purse and while I am taking some cash out, I asked what was it that she was planning to do. I am...
