What is the date of the contract and when is the market closed? There is a 45-minute break each day between 5:15PM (current trade date) and 6:00 PM (next trade date). http://www.nymex.com/CL_spec.aspx

This is just an index. If you want to trade it you would need to find an etf of the same index or set up a basket trade(multiple orders sent simultaneously) that is equal to the weightings in the composite. You need to factor in the commisions if you do a basket trades.

Update: Mike from QT fixed my problem. E-mailed me the fix on a saturday. Take back what I said about QT not having great customer service anymore. Impressed. AAA30

Mike from QT sent me a PM and I emailed him an example of the difference in Backfill between QT and NT. Except Iqfeed no longer allows me to use NT with the feed so I had to compare it to opentick data. This comparision most likely will not be ok. If anyone has IQfeed with Ninjatrader could...

I use the stand alone version. what ever is the latest update. Removing the news item was all that worked for me. Tried the adding a 1 in the the directory but the problem would return shortly. I was also geting wierd effects on the interface. The only reason that I noticed the news item...

I had a similar problem. Try removing the news time or headline column if you use them. This worked for me. Vista 64, java 1.5, latest tws build.
