I'm the most consistent trader in the world

You might want to try something Mark Douglas recommends. 1) stop doing what you do now 2) COMMIT to taking the next X trades EXACTLY as your method dictates - with the knowledge that this could mean X losers. It doesn't matter the outcome - it's just an exercise in executing your plan 3)...

you can also get price improvement with limit orders on oanda.com so its not all one way traffic. i had this a few times when i was playing around with their fxgame system.

    Trading London Market

well stalimited.com seem to offer LSE trading and i know they are a mainly futures prop firm...Because they clear via GNI (now part of Man Group) i expect they actually trade on CFDs with much better than GNI's retail rate of 0.25% of trade value per side. do they offer remote trading? no...

    Random Chart Contest: RESULTS!

At least then I could add "lab rat" to my CV. Just don't make me run round one of those treadmill things or go looking for cheese...anything but that... :) Q1

    Random Chart Contest: RESULTS!

I didn't know what you meant by Murray math until I went to that thread and saw all that ugly mouth froth. Eh, no I use only price. That said, what I really do is think about who is moving money in/out the market when, where and why. For me trading is like paper/scissors/rock - its...

    Random Chart Contest: RESULTS!

I'm quite suprised to get them all right because I did feel several were close calls. It was fun and instructive - thanks to John for putting the work in. In case anyone PMs me for my "secret method". There wasn't one - I just looked at the charts as they were first presented. Where I was...

Any Euro BUND day trader here?

this isn't much help but to an experienced trader your question is analagous to you asking someone who drives a car: "if you drive on roads how fast do you go and when do you brake?" its a nonsense question. watch the bund for a few months...preferably most of the intraday ticks...then...

    Winning percentage

It's easy to imagine a >90% winning strategy. Even if I buy/sell at random I can get that just by adjusting my reward:risk to about 1:10...if the market is "random" (lets not go there) I will win about that. Of course just doing this without an edge loses money but that's not the point. I...

Any guy making money using risk/reward ratio >1?

I think there's something interesting here. Most of the accepted trading wisdom applies to only a particular very broad set of trading stats. For example, "cut your losses and let your profits run" is clearly intended for the majority of traders who go for stats of the form: Win:Loss % =...

value of out of the money options

I think what Taleb says is not that the model undervalues OTM options. I believe that Black-Scholes is only really relevant ATM and that the principal source of valuation for OTM options is the market itself (either through statistical modelling or just looking at the current quotes). Taleb's...

    Why is that?

if you have ever: - drunk too much - eaten too much - spent to much - envied too much - feared too much - driven too fast - broken a promise - been uncontrollably angry - been inconsolably unhappy - not done the thing you knew was right then you have experienced the temptations...

    September 11th delayed opening

well hmmm. what's the state of the "market"? i think in aggregate the shorter-term trader population (those who, at the margin, swing the market back and forth day-in-day out) is net short. in aggregate those who were long last week have now liquidated. there's not many short term longs left...

    Trading a portfolio of markets

i tried various ways of doing this some time ago. i started with 150 eod futures markets and sought the best markets on which to trade a simple long term trend following system. i was suprised that all the obvious tries, MA of equity, Moving Sharpe ratio etc (best of, worst of etc) did not...

    Day Trading Aint Easy

hehe... i like that... still, it's just a warning. if you don't have a lot of market experience you can get hoodwinked into thinking low/high volatility is "normal"...it can seem easy to go with breakouts in a volalitile market or easy to fade them otherwise...until the environment...

    Day Trading Aint Easy

Hybridmachine, I hope you're aware that the last month or two has been unusually profitable for simple breakout systems and that this is not normal market behaviour. This simple method will stop working at some point, probably just around the time you increase the size of your positions...

Anyone trading the DJ Eurostoxx 50?

i think they just don't transmit it. i know it took CQG ages to get actual trade volume for charts because they had to "build it" out of the feed from the exchange which is just cumulative volume i believe. may all be different with new Eurex apis or whatever... anyway, be happy to know...
