spot is if you want to buy corn today. futures are if you want to buy corn and recieve delivery in the future.

Base and preciose metals will go down or plateau, agriculture commodities will take over leadership. The world has been running grain deficits the last 5-6 years and the Chinese/Indians want to upgrade there food choices.

I researched the fundamentals today and they look good, but not great. I own corn now and that has great fundamentals as long a demand keeps up oversees. I am planning on getting in cotton soon but I am worried that the large funds will keep selling this market short despite the fundamentals.

No I was not able to get in short, I was being greedy and waiting for it to hit 2.00. I will now short oats if it hits 195.00 as long as fundamentals stay bearish, which it appears they are.
