Is a Price Action Trading course recommended

I believe price action trading is all about swing analysis (market structure) across different time frames and understanding true supply and demand zones (support / resistance) and where to look for them. Understanding what is likely to happen when swing highs are taken out in a down trend and...

day trading with small account and how much has it grown?

I think its possible if you really know what you are doing and trade something like CL where you can risk 20-30 ticks for possible 80 - 100 tick moves, but your first 2-3 trades have to be very good or you will blow out. You need to be SUPER patient and wait for all the levels below / above to...

    Feels Weird to win ?

I had this feeling when I was winning for a few months... it did not end well. Don't get too cocky, keep your ego in check.

This has happened to me on the micro contracts but never on the full size contracts. I wonder what it is as well.

    Why Trading is so Hard

Yes my last run of trading had a very high win rate... but still ended up being a losing period over all with some big equity swings because the losses were quite large compared to the wins. I am now coming to terms that this is not the way to trade. It's just so difficult to take the small...

How to overcome the inability to accept small losses when wrong on trades?

I strongly believe my trade management is the issue. My market reads are very robust and I am right a good percentage of the time, I do also take smaller losses on trades that quickly invalidate my entry. The issue is when things happen quick and I don't react fast enough. This is why from now...

How to overcome the inability to accept small losses when wrong on trades?

This was a trade in NQ on Wednesday. On the Tuesday I managed to buy near the bottom and rode almost the entire move up and cashed out about an hour before the close. The daily candle closed so strong that I decided to buy into the contract again in the after hours session. For what ever reason...

How to overcome the inability to accept small losses when wrong on trades?

No, it was actually profitable at some point, If fact it was profitable twice which in my mind makes it hard to cut when they turn against you. I held the trade as there were some support levels below that I was sure would hold... but as they broke down. I entered into what I like to call deer...

How to overcome the inability to accept small losses when wrong on trades?

I took another hit to my account this last week. I realize now what happens as I was able to observe myself in the process. I have been having a pretty good run of trading with most of my calls being correct. Its easy to manage winners so that worked out great. Then I had a loser which ran away...

    Market Review

I find it odd that you dont use non-back adjusted charts for your CL contract and the other futures. The biggest impact is on CL though with having it expire every month. Your ranges and levels are way off at places that the forward month at the time never actually traded at.

Anyone using indicators successfully for day trading?

I use an indicator to measure momentum across time frames. It doesnt give entry or exit signals, its just an extra tool to get a smoothed out pespective of whats happening in the price action. I believe that momentum change proceeds price direction change.

So, you were cheering for the market to crash, What do you do now?

I lost 4k trying to buy the dip on NQ yesterday, this is in my short term futures account. In my long term account I am holding long from 2885 S&P but its no leverage etf position so Im not sweating it yet.

    ES Journal - 2017/2018

I think a lower high would quality as the end of this up trend which started in March -April. So far only higher highs and higher lows until this last sell off which took out the last higher low. For the uptrend to be over we still need a last rally and a lower high.

How to overcome the inability to accept small losses when wrong on trades?

Technical analysis is such a small part of trading. The more I trade the more I realize this. It's all about trade management and risk management. Even if you mess up your initial entry its still possible to make money on the trade as long as your chart reading is at least somewhat component and...

How to overcome the inability to accept small losses when wrong on trades?

My holding on to trades is a consequence of not having the ideal entry point from my first try. I'll stay in a trade and potentially add if the overall premise is still intact. I will bail once the premise is invalidated. The alternative I guess is to take a bunch of small losses until I get the...

How to overcome the inability to accept small losses when wrong on trades?

The big losses come from swing trades gone wrong. Obviously those require a much bigger stop point. Also I am a bit inconsistent in my sizing. I trend to go bigger for the trades that in my mind offer bigger payoff if I am right.
