3D charting?

Who said those were the variables I was thinking of plotting? :D But even in that case, a price/volume/time plot in 3D is a lot easier to digest than having to look at time/price and time/volume back and forth all the time. Not to mention the other neat things that can be done in 3D... Thanks...

Just curious, is anyone using TA in the context of 3D charting? What charting software allows for 3D plots? Thanks.

PDT killing you? why not futures?

Makes perfect sense as you are more likely to survive a crash in a bigger car - same thing with PDT.

PDT killing you? why not futures?

Wake up dude. You have a very rosy picture of this "democratic notion of freedom". Democracy is the "rule of people" the majority of people will benefit from the rule. That's all that matters from the democratic point of view. Again, having lived here and in the former USSR for a while, I...

PDT killing you? why not futures?

What does it have to do with the communists??? Secondly, there ARE numerous instances when the people have to be protected from themselves or from their desires. About 90% of drivers think they drive better than average. If everyone was allowed to drive at the speeds at which he/she...

    Immortality?!

You maybe right, maybe Katrina is not supportive of that idea. But the only reason the government is attempting to bridle that research is to avoid such almost sure outcomes. We do have the haves and the havenots. But if the genetic research were to be conducted freely and such "designed...

    Very short-term intra-day strategies?

Another thing to keep in mind is that since your holding times are so short, you won't be able to scale up much if what you find works very well and you are tempted to.

    legal/tax services for hedge funds?

Thanks, looking at them right now. Also, in case someone else needs this, here's a good one I've found. I think I'll fly down there and talk with them in a few days. http://www.hedgefunddynamics.com/domesticbreakdown.asp

    legal/tax services for hedge funds?

Thanks, Aaron. Our taxes shouldn't be very messy. Our positions are very short term, so no unrealized stuff. I'm looking more for the legal side. E.g. we are thinking of creating a separate entity that would be the fund itself and our current LLC would be the holding one, owning the strategy...

Yes, I did mean dollars. I do have a bloomberg terminal, but in this case it's not relevant, b/c by the time I open/close the position, the news is widely available. In fact, I HOPE it is :D. But the volume usually remains fairly high on such days... Also, I trade around open/close...

    legal/tax services for hedge funds?

Are there legal/accounting firms that speciallize in rendering services to hedge funds??? Can anyone suggest any good ones? The reason I'm asking is b/c I have a feeling their prices will be lower than what other outfits are quoting me. What about taxation issues? Any firms that specialize...

    price pressure

Thanks alfonso. I think some people on this board do trade large size (certainly not the median poster), and I was hoping to get their feedback. Scalability should be a concern to most traders except those who want to trade about the same size and just derive a source of income. We are at a...
