    Selling SPX box for financing

You can contact the CBOE at marketservices@cboe.com and ask them about this data. You could also contact their Liv Vol services as well and see if they offer it through any of their products. Selling SPX box for financing

It is much more difficult for a retail trader to see the COB now that the CBOE stopped displaying it on the WEB. You will need software that displays it and most of this is geared more to professional traders. I see it through WEX Trading Platform - WEX (tradewex.com) . Maybe others will know...

Alternative to a VIX futures covered call

SPX options are index options. MM's just use the futures to price the options as they will update faster then the underlying index.

Alternative to a VIX futures covered call

My understanding (and others can correct me if I'm wrong here) is that futures are regulated by the CFTC. Options on futures exercise into futures. So if you have an ES future option, it would exercise into ES futures. When VIX options are exercised/assigned at expiration, you do not get...

Alternative to a VIX futures covered call

I don't think it is a SPAN issue, as VIX options are not futures options, although they may be "priced" off of where the futures are trading vs the underlying options.

Alternative to a VIX futures covered call

I am very surprised to hear Schwab doesn't offer trading in VIX options. Are you sure you have the right symbol? The right permissions?

What would happen if a market maker sells more shares than exist and fails to deliver ?

My understanding is MM's are generally not required to get a locate first to short shares, but still may be bought in on their short stock position.

    GOOG/GOOGL Arb

Anybody here have any idea with what's going on with GOOG and GOOGL? The two have always traded within a few dollars of each other (GOOGL contains voting rights) and have been a good arb between each other. Recently the spread has blown up, with GOOG trading around $90 over GOOGL. Any insight...

The new German derivatives trading tax law

In the US if you if you enter an options spread and make 1 million on your long side and lose $950,000 on your short side, you would have a net of $50,000 profit. It sounds like under the German law, they would only allow a $20,000 loss offset so they would tax you as though you made $980,000...

What's the best Options routing for preserving front-of-queue / first-to-fill at a given price?

I thought I gave you a pretty good answer in my previous post (#3) You will have priority only on the exchange you send it to (and depending on the product not even necessarily then) If your offer is a good sale, it is likely a contra order will be filled on another exchange and you will be...

What's the best Options routing for preserving front-of-queue / first-to-fill at a given price?

I would not prefer not to publicly post my commission rate. If you don't want to either, I would understand, but you said that TOS did not charge you any commission other than small reg fees? This would be very unique for a non RH broker.

What's the best Options routing for preserving front-of-queue / first-to-fill at a given price?

Are you saying that you pay ZERO commissions on option trades at TOS/TD? Not talking about a ticket charge, talking about commissions. So if you buy a 10 lot of $1 options you pay exactly $1,000 and nothing more?

What's the best Options routing for preserving front-of-queue / first-to-fill at a given price?

You do realize that they do charge commissions on options?

What's the best Options routing for preserving front-of-queue / first-to-fill at a given price?

Your best bet would be to route to an exchange that doesn't charge for taking liquidity (PHLX, MIAX, Mercury, CBOE or NYSE or to an exchange that charges you for adding liquidity (BOX). For simplicity I would just route the order to the CBOE. I would first break the order into smaller lots, as...
