Selling puts has been around since 2014, but the theory of selling puts has been discussed as far back as 2008. :)

Since most people understand and can easily visualize Covered Calls the Covered Call = Selling Naked Put comparison should be mentioned in every "Selling Put" thread. When that comparison is made people look at Naked Puts in a new light - they don't appear so risky anymore. :)

US interest rates compared to Canadian interest rates. Canada has no intention of raising interest rates due to a weak economy and low oil prices. The US has room to raise its interest rates. If they do that will weaken the CAD even more. :)

Sounds like a good explanation but it's just speculation. Even if the "restatement of earnings related to philidor (or whatever)" turned out to be meaningful VRX still could have jumped 5% after a two day 20% sell-off. It's known as Volatility. :)
