    What About Linux?

IRA...is a retirement account. I trade it through Interactive Brokers TWS, on Ubuntu Linux. Rithmic is a futures datafeed/execution provider whos API i connect to on Ubuntu Linux. I think IB TWS is your best bet...Although, for some, it isn't fancy enough.

In one sentence, what is your edge for 2019?

SOME stochastic processes can be controlled such that they behave in our favor. For example, one can take a zero-mean Gaussian process (which the market obviously is not) and asymmetrically truncate the tails (target and stop) such that the expectancy of the controlled process is positive...

In one sentence, what is your edge for 2019?

    What About Linux?

I run IB TWS/API (for IRA) and Rithmic R|API+ on Ubuntu....works great! That being said... I see no reason to be rigid with your OS. W10 now allows you to install a bash shell if you need a linux-ish experience.

    Developing "Spartan"

Good luck, sir. 1 recommendation....don't tie yourself to QT. I made that mistake on my first iteration of a trading platform. I really like Qt, but I strongly recommend you use something browser based (bokeh) if you have any desire to host your software in a data center and monitor it remotely.

The Insane Story of How an Early Quant Investor Went Rogue

Out of 29 samples...his algorithm got 24 correct. Not bashing his work, because the year has to be taken into account...but, I'm not impressed. Depending on which portfolio manager they were modeling...I could get there with a low order polynomial fit I am, however, astonished that their are...

    Best programming language for trading?

It would also never occur in interpreted language that was designed to "do stuff" , i.e matlab, python, etc, as opposed to languages that are meant to "display stuff" in the browser, i.e javascript. I started playing with Javascript about a year ago, out of self-driven necessity.... and I...
