    Speed of Internet Connection

I'm using a broadband connection with 5000 Kbit/s. Now I'm looking for a cheap backup connection. The cheapest solution (no monthly fee, only pay as you use) I found is 300 Kbit/s. Is this sufficient? In an emergency case I only need a connection to InteractiveBrokers (using TWS, Quotetracker...

    Zurich, Switzerland

Hamrawein (Max, initiator of this thread) and I had an e.mail conversation about a meeting in Zurich (restaurant "terrasse"). We actually fixed some dates for Nov. and Dec. but unfortunately we didn't manage to get more than 2 or 3 of us together. Now it's x.mas time and everbody is busy. So...

    Zurich, Switzerland

Dear Swiss traders, unfortunately we didn't manage to meet this year. Nevertheless I'm still interested in bringing together some ET traders from Switzerland. It would be great to have a little appointment in 2009 for a beer etc. Therefore it would be nice if all traders from...

    Day-Trading 2.0 for small traders

From my understanding, Jirvats method shoots for small scalps (10 pips...) whereas Anek tries to stay in the trade until the trend is over, i.e. until a conflicting swing (HigherHigh -> HigherHigh -> LowerHigh) is made... Both methods base on price/wave analysis...

    4,000/1 Odds

Indeed a very interesting view is presented by Mr. Taleb in this book... http://www.amazon.com/Fooled-Randomness-Hidden-Chance-Markets/dp/1400067936/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1227546414&sr=8-1 I am currently reading it. It claims that sometimes luck is confused with skill etc...

    DOM for Interactive Brokers

I also use ZLT for a while now. Before ZLT I used IB's booktrader. ZLT has more capacity (advanced strategies etc.) and it's generally a nice software... What didn't work for you? I had also some problems but Hong Ji solved them quite fast - support is great, price too...

IB Charging For ICE/NYBOT Data Feed

Hmm... you are right, it's 1.98$ on the statement but I'm sure it was 1£ on IB's website... so they converted the fee in the statement. I deleted all messages but a IB representative told me once, that I should have some GBP in my account to pay the fees... :p

IB Charging For ICE/NYBOT Data Feed

no, half a year ago or so it was definitely charged in £. I know it because I wondered and asked a rep. and they told me it's correct but they will change to $ in the near future...

I'm trading 6E all day long, besides instruments like NQ, ES etc. it's great too for very short term trading strategies/scalping... But be aware, that liquidity is low @european hours (If that's a matter for you). As an european trader I was looking for a nice instrument I can trade in the...
