    The calendar on ff is really nice. Use this dates just as cornerstones but it's not for sure that price will spike on a "red" report. Be sure that you don't enter a position 10 min. before and after an event.

    What happens to money when it is converted?

    "converting $ to Yen" means you sell $ and buy Yen... So there's a counterparty who does the exact opposite: selling Yen and buying $. It's the same as selling gold for example: You convert gold into $ (or whatever currency you want).
