    When will the bears admit

Apparently, no one is keen on disagreeing with me. Board is either very wise, and getting wiser, or the wise guys (smart money, in other words) have better things to do.

So tell me why I should trade currency futures instead of forex?

Reads like something I wrote. I just knew this would turn out to be an intelligent thread.

". . . if you want to see a trader trading in real time let me know" (from post earlier this thread). Yes, I'd like to see that.

Thanks for the applause. I wasn't sure of the France piece of the bit, thinking it too borrowed to meet the utmost standart of wit ETers demand. But I went with it anyway. Glad it worked. Hope the bit inspires those wannabes who don't yet know enough to keep their pockets from being picked.

Rumour: Goldman Sachs has over $80 billion invested in oil...

re the queries, "[B]ut when and how high until?" and "Might [it]be sowing the seeds to it's own destruction?" Don't know. Perversely, the corner will say alternatives are viable only so long as you (meaning regulators) don't interfere with the corner. Let us keep the corner (and our...

Rumour: Goldman Sachs has over $80 billion invested in oil...

I believe it is essentially the corner -- capital and producers -- that is bidding it up and up and up. Along with some free riders. So, you correctly identify the location of the problem. Classic corner involves a rout when the corner picks its time to exit. Which explains why Big Oil is...

Rumour: Goldman Sachs has over $80 billion invested in oil...

Investment bankers have been big buyers of crude and products transportation and storage since at least early 1990s, when I first got involved in that area. It's kinda like a corner now, with capital and producers all lined up on one side, gripping hands, with consumers on the other, gripping ...

    When will the bears admit

Above is from 3 weeks ago: any dissenters? If so, i.e., if green is green for you, today is a bargain, isn't it? Or are you waiting for even better entries? My view -- again, dissents welcome -- is that SP trades safely under 1400 within 90 days. Gliding down.

Ok, you two, I give. You're right, futures and real brokers do have cooties. Any more nursery games?

10 Pips Per Day - Everyday

I stand by my endorsement of another poster’s powerful advice against risking money with mostly unregulated entities that sell a totally unregulated product. The words "market" and "broker" usually mean honest, exchange-traded products. The regulatory and reputational risks for the firms...

All of 'em are bucketshops. None are brokers. Some are more competent (generally and at bucketing as well) and hence richer than others. That's all that "well capitalized" indicates to me.

Is this call bulletproof after only 2 days? If yes, thanks to ASX and Nikkei for prompting the instant progress (for those red = green).

Assessment: from here, SP will trade lower without more head fakes to and above 1500. Balloon won't pop, only slowly deflate. Stay on sidelines unless red is green for you.

A day that will live in infamy.

Give us a break: at least try to steer this thread back into a realm that makes sense to the OP (assuming that is possible).

Cramer burning out and comtemplating retiring?

You sure of the above? Just in the last year or so, I've seen a couple of his touts that would have blown any moderately aggresive trader who traded the tout (not faded it). If he's blowing you up, how good can he be? Compare that fatality rate to the talents of any of a half dozen ETers...

    What are your favorite actors?

Absolutely second the above kudos for Runaway Train. That final shot -- Voight atop the engine -- makes Apocalypse Now and Platoon (to take two others similarly evocative and where the villians get it in the end) seem like Disney flicks.

NOTICE how the free money short window in MAR snapped shut at 33.05? I'd say that's a pretty good assessment from August 3rd, quoted above. And BX still is shearing 'em, again as predicted.
