    Bund upswing

There's been a lot of safe haven flows out of equities and commodities, the bounce was called to go up to 117.32 by several institutions when we were down around 115s and seems to be panning out. In the past few days there have been strong cross border flows selling gilts BTPs and US treasuries...

    the bloodbath continutes....

The speculation premium in the commodities means they have further to fall. The prices of metals do not reflect the supply demand. I think BarCap in the FT was saying there is up to a 30% pure speculation premium in these markets from hot money. Gold has been latched onto by retail investors and...

    How to get some sleep?

Get your thinking done in the tub it's the best place, then go to bed to sleep. Tea might be ok but make sure it's not a caffeine containing variety. I read somewhere that eating lettuce before bed works very well. Google lettuce and insomnia and you'll see what I mean.

    Any one trade bund outright?

If you're covering your costs and your desk fee they don't mind how you trade. You'd need to be making enough over that to pay yourself a living and if they've backed you they get splits off that anyway. However, if an own account trader barely ever trades and is taking up a desk where a more...

    Any one trade bund outright?

Precisely. There are so many different ways to trade, I wouldn't suggest targets or trading styles to anyone but when you start at many of these prop shops they say if you are more or less having 10 winners a day with some sort of consistency we'll consider getting you live, which I think is...

X_TRADER 7 releases charting software, FREE with X_TRADER

It's an issue with the time and sales, TT say shut them down over busy periods as they are too data intensive (software bottleneck apparently rather than hardware). They say they will correct this in 7 and orders should be nearer to 20x faster as the packets are routed in a new way. Maybe TT...

Dreading the new TT release. Every time they come out with a new version it's incompatible with eurex exchange leading to downtimes and server upgrades, why don't they get this stuff sorted before they release it? You just about get stable on the old version and they bring out a new one...

    Eurex Slow Downs

It IS the whole exchange, you get the slowdown you phone them up and they eventually admit it is a problem at their end. In the last month or so it's getting ridiculous and very expensive. To say all exchanges get slowdowns just accept it is unbelievable, we pay a huge amount of money to them...

    Eurex Slow Downs

That's exactly what i was saying to traders in london today, highest ever volume records - oldest ever servers, they need to sort it out and spend some of that money

    Bond rally nearing an end?

It's the implied probability of what to expect for the May meeting and how recent data releases have altered this view. So the odds of rates being 5% have dropped slightly in favour of 4.75 after the existing home sales data, although barely. Have a look at this link to see how the market was...

    Any one trade bund outright?

I agree but there are so many scenarios where the down move is overdone (within 5/10minutes) and/or there wasn't actually much selling volume at all. In the example the market has been selling down, nothing massive just intraday small trend and it's a level on your chart, maybe it sold down...
