Can you give more specifics regarding your preferred style of trading. Short term , long term. Any particular chart TF's that seem to have some order to your way of looking at the market? If you have been at this for 4 years you should have some ideas.

What are things you can do to prepare yourself to trade after waking up?

Do you have a written trading plan? Are you following it? How many trades do you average a day? Why don't you sim the first signal you get and take it from there.

Go to the respective manufacturers website and look up the specs on the particular components. It sounds like you are a fish out of water, go to a local computer shop explain your needs and ask them to give you a quote and list of components that they would use if they build you a computer.

I have both open, time (5 min) based chart and constant volume (varies based on PA) charts. Time charts (for me) tend to show consolidation areas more clearly but not the nuances of PA, that's where I use vol charts.

Lets get the legal requirements out of the way. Nodoji in no way, shape or form has approved of the following. I don't think it is so much prediction but more so having an open mind that anything can happen at anytime. Predicting (bias) tends to marry us to an outcome and once we lose our...

    Day Traders: Losing Days

Thanks for the detailed post. I don't know what charting software you use, I use Sierra Charts and you can enter trades directly from the screen along with targets and stops. (I know Ninja also has this feature) It would seem like a natural compliment to your style of trading, since you are...

    Day Traders: Losing Days

Would you mind explaining how you perform your bar-by-bar analysis? Print out your chart and do it by hand or scroll back to the start of the day and advance chart 1 bar at a time? thanks

    Passage to $1 Million

Few people have the discipline to do what you have done. Just finished reading your closed journal. Siming (or simming not sure?) for months on end. How many people start a diet, exercise program or whatever and quit before a month is over. Takes a certain type of personality and desire. You...

    CL Redux

The actual numbers are not important its the markets response to the report that matters, and as you have said that will be played out in the PA of the chart.

Out of the 3 indices which one is best to learn how to trade better based on TA ?

In this business it is imperative to be responsible for your trading decisions. You have to ultimately make the call on which trading vehicles best suit your trading plan. I am not saying don't ask questions" I ask questions all the time. My point is "the buck stops with you" (each trader)...

    TF mini-Russell 2000

I used to trade the TF. I am looking at the CL. Seems like the same risk (in normal market action) with more potential. When I am looking at something to trade I am looking for decent intraday swings (ground breaking). The TF has decent moves but seems like it has alot of consolidation also.
