    SPX index options

You know what I've noticed, my SPX orders are better filled during the 3:00 to 3:15pm end of the session. I put a credit spread on last week, and it was about 10 cents above the midpoint (good for my direction) and got filled within a minute. Probably the MMs wanting to get out of some positions.

    Any Chicago Suburb Golfers?

Anyone in the suburbs (preferably in the Western burbs) that wants to golf at a local course? We can probably fit a few more rounds in before the year ends.

Feeding Off the Dead Carcass of Citibank

I still own Citi, in my long-term retirement account and have been picking up more because I think they're still a great value. Chuck Prince has been a diaster among the company, and, in my opinion, should resign on Sunday's emergency board meeting, as the WSJ is reporting he might do.

Why is the Fed limited to raise/cut in 25bp increments?

Just a question wondering if anyone knows why the Federal Reserve can only cut or raise rates in 25 basis point increments? Why can't they do 1/8 increments? In my opinion, the Fed doesn't need to cut 25 on Wednesday, but 12.5 would be nice.

buying at the open strange scenario

I'm pretty sure it gets filled at $99, because that is the best available price, unless you cancel your order before the open, and then hit his order to sell at $101.

When do you cut your loss?

Options are a little more riskier and flucuate alot (obvisouly), and I use a little wider stop, and sometimes just have a mental stop (of course that can bite you in the ass). On intraday trades, I go for a 7% loss factor and usually I tend to only be in a options trade for 10-30 minutes...

    Apple Bull Calls too easy?

In response to your original question, you are better off doing the deep in-the-money options vs. out of the money, due to having a greater delta on the deep ITM ones. You could do a vertical or calendar spread to go around earnings.

    I'm shorting GOOG around 650

I seriously don't think GOOG can sustain this type of growth (especially since Cramer says it can go to 750 within months). The rumors about gPhone are already priced in, and in my opinion, it will be not as widely accepted as hyped. It had its run... To each his own.....

    Facebook worths $10+ billion?

And then comes to newest Tech Bubble again, with Facebook and all the other web too-much-hyped crap declining 80% in one day. How is Facebook a sustainable business model? People will always find something else to socially network on. There is always something new and better coming out.

    SPX index options

The OEX trade on a hybrid's system that has more electronic market makers and less pit traders (last time I was there in mid-August they had about 15, when it wasn't on the hybrid system there were 300). Supposedly the SPX pit was supposed to go towards a hybrid system this month, but not sure...

That's true though. DbFX is white label of FXCM. I don't trade with them.

    Is Forex trading a game?

You're not going to make money with any leverage more than 40x, even then it's tough. I am on 30x, and don't get stopped out by my broker automatically, and make a good amount of money. If I was working with a 100x, 200x, or even 400x leveraged account, I'm sure I'd be wiped out within the first...

    Short the Euro/USD Now!

I definitely agree with the Euro winning against the dollar, probably will hit the 1.48 mark, before some hesitation comes in.

    Facebook worths $10+ billion?

No one figured Myspace would be a fad...probably until the larger spammers and predators came about. Although, you are right that no one knew what social networking was back then and now it is all the rage with those 14-21 year olds, right?

    Facebook worths $10+ billion?

I think it's pointless to be buying these low-valued "social networking" websites. I really don't see any value in it. As far as I know, Everyone from Myspace moved over to Facebook. Who knows whats next? There is too much hype around these and I wouldn't value them for more than $750...

    Ipos

Usually if you get in at the IPO price, which some people can get into if they have higher-valued accounts at large investment banks, then you'll probably make money on about 85% of the IPOs, as they are normally discounted 10-15% from projected market value in order to sell. If you're getting...

    Is this a dangerous Play

The broker shouldn't put it on the book until a few minutes before the open. It should be queued up with others and placed before it opens. Unless you specifically tell the broker to place it in the morning, it should be executed at the opening price.
