Umm, why you waste your time posting a reply to a stupid poll then?
Anyways, thanks to those that took the poll.
I am actually hoping that volatility would drop back to normal in November, but for now, I am trading with 40 pip stops.
Oh puhleez! Don't compare these crooks with the day traders. These guys were gambling with house money, and once they brought the house down, they looked at tax payers to bail them out.
I relate to that. I usually pull the trigger too early because I think I am going to miss out on an opportunity. Sometimes it's out of boredom. I have learned to talk myself out pulling the trigger prematurely by remembering and visualizing the last time I lost money by being impatient. If I...
All I can say is thank God! I got stopped out of half of my trade prematurely last month. I hope today's actions are indicative of activity for November.
lol, no I just want to know what kind of stops other people are using.
My day trade R:R on EUR.USD used to be 10/20. I dropped size and increased R:R to 20/40. Now I am thinking about going to 40/80 and cutting size in half again. If that doesn't work, I'll stop day trading FX for a while...

This is very true.
The current implied on the qqqq's is at 68% with delta for at the money at around 0.5. Youâll need the market to swing in excess of 3-6% per day for you to see a decent change in your option price. It's just not worth day trading it.
I day trade bond futures and forex, not stocks, but I believe the same concept applies: Less is more!
I normally don't track more than 1-2 instruments during the day. Having a big watch list always causes me to become undisciplined and make random trades.
