Personally, I have no idea whether its a bubble. Maybe its just a fad or maybe its the future of currency. Either way I don't really care because I plan to trade it long and short once those bitcoin micros start trading on CME.

There is also the roll yield you need to think about. If whatever you are trading is in steep contango you will be losing yield each time you roll.

Not that I know of. If you find out please post here. One way you could get over the settlement related performance drag is to trade leveraged funds. I personally trade triple leveraged funds in my HSA.

Looks like the full size contract currently has a daily range of about $20-30k so the micro will have a range of about $2-3k. This micro will still more volatile than some full sized contracts such as CL and NG.

I am aware of the all in cost. But there is no platform fee like other brokers so I believe it's still a good deal.

It's not an automated strategy so I don't pay for real time data at IBKR. I update my spreadsheet with the free real time data from yahoo finance.
