Most basic #1 newbie picture question

seems like there is too much empty space around the chart. I learned how to do this from another thread: <IMG SRC=http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/attachment.php?s=&postid=1497821>

Most basic #1 newbie picture question

Thanks for the replies! Cutting and pasting with ms paint will work for now until I try something a little fancier like snagit... oops, looks like I have to save file as a jpeg as a bmp file won't work. . :)

Most basic #1 newbie picture question

How do I create a picture of a chart? I am using Tradestation. I did a lot of searching to avoid asking this stupid question - I figured out how to attach a pic, I always knew how to imbed a pic into a thread, but I just don't know how to create a pic of one chart from my screen! Sorry...

I know some of you watch (and trade) the ER2 as well as the ES. Sometimes they move in lock step while it seems at times they move in opposite directions. Anyone know the correlation between the 2 contracts or where I can find, or derive the data?

I couldn't do that. There was a 1494.25 print around 6am this morning!

Yesterday's sharp selloff into the close started about this time (3:20 et) from a high intraday print of 1518.50. It looks like there was an attempt to hold 1518.50 today for an instant replay. So can we hold the gains or do a replay of yesterday?

I truly appreciate the information that is shared on this thread. I don't expect anyone to provide a detailed course on their trading method. Some provide more detail than others. One of the things I like most about this thread is the (almost) lack of nastiness that is so pervasive in ET...

    ZN Journal

I won't call a market bottom - I have been looking for a market bottom for the past 2 weeks! That view has been painfully wrong. Funny you mention capitulation, because the big downmove last night apparently was triggered by news that Bill Gross had thrown in the towel and declared a bear...

ZN is 1/2 point above the low. 104-04 print in London, 104-22 now. It has been a very long time since ZN managed a 1/2 point retracement from the low! There has been very little bounce during this persistent downtrend.

Huge move overnight in Treasuries. ZN printed 104-04, within 3 tics of the June 28 2006 low print of 104-01. Also, check my numbers, but didnt ES touch the 38% retracement of the move from March 14 low to recent high? (Low print was 1494.25)

yes  major curve steepening pukeathon. 2yr is up 5.5 bps while 10yr is up 14.5 bps. And this comes after 3 weeks of steady relentless declines.

    Bond Question

optioncoach and f-tdr have the right idea, but I would only use this for a short term hedge, ie 1 week or less if you are worried about a short term spike in rates. Over time you will have credit spread, change in deliverables (which will change the duration of the futures contracts, and...

Do you see 1515 as significant support? I noticed that the move from the high of 1543 to today's low of 1515 was exactly 28 points. The retracement from the high of 5/23, 1535.75 was also 28 points to 1507.75. Love the symmetry! :)

What exactly is that "rule of 10" ? I noticed, in hindsight that we managed a 10.5 point range in the day session so far today (1537.50 to 1527) , and at least at the moment retraced exactly 50% of that range, 5.25 points to 1532.25. Aside from achieving a 10pt range, I didn't see...

Art, somehow in my internet surfing I stumbled upon your video on MoneyShow.com where you explained all this stuff. It was great to see and hear you vs just reading your posts here, and very helpful for me to hear your detailed explanation of each of these "biases." Also, I didn't realize...
