AHG - Profitable Strategy for Struggling Traders

If you are using Tradestation, I found 3 different indicators that mark the interim highs and lows. If you are not using TS, can't help you.

My screwup was moving my stop up too soon which took me out of a trade at a small loss that would have gone profitable fairly quickly. My initial stop would have been untouched. My badly timed short was almost identical to your 4th short that you got stopped out on, except the pattern...

Today's crisis is one badly managed French bank. Is this the impetus for a US stock market crash ? Maybe... but I don't think so.

The ECB responded to a rise in overnight rates. The Fed will similarly add liquidity to keep the funds rate at the target of 5.25%. (Funds opening at 5.5%) .. in fact, they have already added reserves.

I always found it incredibly ironic that they had the arrogance to name their fund "alpha" and that the fund is now providing submarket returns.

I am playing with the 3sma on Tradestation and it appears that with ts you have to use -1 to move the average to the right, if that is what you want to do. Positive numbers move it to the left.

I dont typically look for reasons, ie I let price action speak for itself, but wasn't the excuse for the selloff rumors of an "announcement" by Goldman Sachs, and when they said, "no announcement" market recovered ? My computer running tradestation still gets overlloaded when price action...

Anek, still trading YM, I took basically the same trade as your 2nd short, but I got in a little earlier and my trailing stop gave me a small profit on that trade. I move my stops pretty quickly to preserve profit, but hopefully not too quick in case the market wants to run. Following...

    Don't say "above" :D High print 1502.75 vs your 1502.5. Nice choice of # !! I don't see 1502.5 anywhere... All I've got is a 50% retracement at 1500.5

Anek, Does Tradestation work ok for you? I know my comp is underpowered, but it freezes up when activity picks up and has been nearly worthless since 215pm. I know ts has issues with this and it is not just me. GaryN, Anek will answer your question, but I went through the same thing...

wave, you said 1490 and we got it! Now, if we print 1492 do I achieve guru status? :D btw, for the record, I don't make "calls" or "predictions", merely observations.

when es was trading 1475 after the fed statement I couldn't tell where the market really was because tradestation was lagging so badly, then froze. pretty standard stuff for ts.
