It's repeated over and over on these forums, but why waste time worrying about what the market "should" be doing? You only profit from what the market is doing.

If we're talking about online trading vs online poker then a similar issue that crops up in both is the issue of program trading and poker bots. A big difference is that you can trade anonymously (size permitting) but with online poker there are bots observing your every move.

I totally agree with Osorico. Your stops should be based on a market reference point (or preferably some way below it so you don't get shaken out) not on the amount of risk you're willing to take. If risk is an issue then you need to decrease the size of your position, not tighten your stop...

I'll bet for every time a divergence between the SP500 and trin leads to a reversal in the SP500 there's a time when it doesn't. Price and volume is the only information you need.
