If you could go back in time to when you were a new trader

Or better yet, put all your money into penny stocks that exploded. More bang for your buck.

If you could go back in time to when you were a new trader

I don't think he ever traded this way, which is the ironic part. He would just tell others that their systems were essentially all about money mgmt and told us that if we traded entries random, we'd have the same results. He was insane, but he's no longer here :D

Funniest thing ever seen at a prop firm

Did you read the part where he said that she was "doing well" with this approach? It does make sense that someone COULD make that mistake once or twice BUT no way in hell she did it for long enough to "do well" without knowing she was trading the wrong stock. The characteristics of those stocks...

Obviously not true, but funny nonetheless

    I love this market

Today was one of the strangest days for me. I would have expected, based on the intraday range and increase in volatility that I would have had 3-5 really good setups but I ended up with just one (12:04 short, which was excellent). Once all profit tgts were hit, I kept sifting through my time...

Funniest thing ever seen at a prop firm

Thanks for chiming in, but it wasn't your "joke". Plus this is supposed to be a thread about what really happened at prop firms, not a platform to just make shit up (although that can be funny too.)

If you could go back in time to when you were a new trader

Honestly I don't even know. I guess if one were to pull up a level 2 order entry box and just hit buy or sell (no charts, no knowledge of how price had been trading). Then, I suppose keep risk tight in case mkt went against or trail stop if mkt went in your favor. Not really my cup of tea...

If you could go back in time to when you were a new trader

There have been a few mentions of it in the past, one by a notorious poster who has since been banned. He claimed that all TA was worthless and that money mgmt was all it takes and kept using the idea of random entries and tight money mgmt as somehow being superior to traders who use TA. He's...

If you could go back in time to when you were a new trader

You people are not very precise. That will kill you as a trader. You said ALL methodologies could work as long as risk was properly managed. To me this implies that risk management is the deciding factor in the success of any system. Sorry, I just asked a question. No need to flip out.

If you could go back in time to when you were a new trader

So you would advocate a random entry method, as long as one carefully manages risk??

No way, he's too short! That's the ONLY thing that matters according to the OP. :D

    red wine

I havent seen or heard anything about these being in the same league as red wine but I would do a search if you are really interested. My suggestion is to buy a $20-$25 Napa Cab and enjoy it over 2-3 days.

Funniest thing ever seen at a prop firm

Not to mention INTC does 31 million shares a day and INTL does 60,000. Pretty sure she would have noticed the lack of liquidity :D

    seahawks vs saints

The HOF is only for the top top guys, even excellent players don't make the HOF if they didn't play long enough due to injury and whatnot. I asked if Wilson was a dud in your mind, not if he is going to the HOF. Oh, and if you think Drew Brees isn't going to the HOF, you better think again...

So Russell Wilson is another "dud" in your mind?

    seahawks vs saints

First few years?? Brees has been in the league since 2001. He's has 363 Career TD Passes to only 177 INTS and over 51,000 yds passing, with a career QB rating of 95.3!

    red wine

Forget resveratrol, red wine is high in antioxidants and polyphenols which are health promoting. Of course, you may be able to get these from fruits and veggies themselves but where is the fun in that! :D
