PA trading is very eye and mind intensive, I'm surprised you'd rather be in an office environment where you could get distracted. Especially because it sounds like you are not looking to trade any other strategies but rather focus on your own.

Counting cards is a very different game than predicting mkts. There are a limited number of cards/decks used whereas there are an unlimited number of variables that can move mkts.

You are probably right. I've been trading alone for a long time, but make time for friends/fam a lot so as not to become a hermit :)

Other than the social aspect of making friends or just being around other people, which the OP has NOT mentioned yet as his goal, I don't see any other benefit for him. Personally, I would not want to leave my place, commute in NYC via train or bus, just to go to an office and sit around people...
