Very ignorant statement. It depends on WHERE you live and last I checked, the US was a large country.

High fat, lower carb diet (grain free)

Unfortunately, for this approach, you MUST make sweeping changes or you won't get into ketosis. If you dont get into ketosis, you won't burn fat stores. So you need to make major changes and stick to it. But honestly, it's not that hard because you get to eat rich foods that are satiating...

High fat, lower carb diet (grain free)

The Bodybuilder mindset and eating requirements are FAR different than what a normal human being was meant to be and do. I'm sure this diet worked for you when trying to build massive amounts of muscle but that's not what I am trying to do. I appreciate your input but just remember you were...

Thanks! Yup skin is less dry, not that I had dry skin before but I do notice a difference. I don't know about the breath but the wife hasn't mentioned anything yet :)

High fat, lower carb diet (grain free)

I've dropped 7 lbs since Sunday (I'm sure mostly water weight but still good progress). Keeping carbs to under 30g per day but try and aim for 20 grams and under. So far so good...

High fat, lower carb diet (grain free)

Good points and I see weight loss as an added bonus. Most important for me as mentioned is brain health and high energy levels (plus better sleep). I've heard that it takes 21 days (3 weeks) for the body to make adjustments and am hoping that I'll get there without an issue (meaning that I...

Good point re. Glycemic load of Quinoa As far as a convert, I'd say it all starts with whether or not I actually find value in something before going all in. So far, I feel 20 years younger eating this way and already dropped a few lbs (in a week). Most importantly, it's my energy levels and...

High fat, lower carb diet (grain free)

I like quinoa and it's definitely a good alternative to grains but it's kinda high in carbs. In small amounts it seems fine though. And I do think it can be a part of a healthy diet, especially the fiber aspect. The goal of this way of eating is to eat a lot of fat, especially saturated fats...

High fat, lower carb diet (grain free)

The body craves fat, the brain craves fat, heck the brain is made up of water and fat. It's the best source of fuel, for our bodies are set up to burn fat as energy way more efficiently than glucose (carbs, even complex ones). Advocating lean meats doesn't get the job done IMO. And eating every...

High fat, lower carb diet (grain free)

It's not only about a food or group of foods making you overtly ill but rather foods that make you a bit foggy, or sleepy or lethargic etc. For me, grains, especially whole wheat is a killer in terms of my energy and concentration. I can eat a 20 oz steak and a side of greens and be totally fine...

High fat, lower carb diet (grain free)

It's amazing how fast the body can reorient itself. It only took me about 3 days, and then I had zero cravings for bread, pasta or sweets. Also, I'd like to add that I've been eating a decent amount of spinach and broccoli too, not just meat and eggs and cheese. Also, no potatoes, too starchy.

High fat, lower carb diet (grain free)

I'm a big proponent of eating what makes you feel good. And cutting our grains, greatly reducing sugar and eating full fat products (grass fed beef/butter, full fat yogurt, cheese etc) has been wonderful thus far on feeling full of energy and greater mental clarity. But if you tried a similar...

High fat, lower carb diet (grain free)

Hey everyone, Over the last week I've experimented with eliminating grains from my diet and replacing them with healthy fats; such as grass fed beef/butter, eggs, and olive oil.. The science seems to have shifted recently, away from the low fat/high carb diet of the 80's and 90's towards this...

I didn't mean to imply lying, rather perhaps your opinion of yourself is a bit too high? Who knows, I've been trading my own methodology since the 90's, so I have no need to trade off anyone's calls anyways. One question though, why continue to do it? You must enjoy bitching and moaning...

Don't worry I wasn't going to ask you your twitter nick. Perhaps they are ungrateful because you're calls are not as good as you claim? I'll never know since you are protecting your nick from scrutiny :)
