    Getting started with spread trading

Heres an example of how the multiplier works. If you are spreading 1 ho vs 1 cl the spread as you type it in the chart should be: 42*ho-1*CL. If you are spreading 2 ho contracts vs 3 cl contracts it will be: 84*ho-3*cl. This will ensure what you are seeing on the chart actually reflects how the...

    Getting started with spread trading

You can get a free thinkorswim simulation account and u can actually create spreads. Only problem is they dont have every futures contract out there but its a good start. You have to learn how to create multipliers from whatever ratio you are using. The spread multiplier is a reflection of the...

    eurodollar and TED

Don't listen to the naysayers the TED is still very tradeable. Trade the 5 year or 10 year note vs the GE outright (anywhere from Z16 to Z17 works). Experiment with ratios. Ie 5 GE vs 3 ZF etc.

If you have an automated futures intraday trading strategy I'd like to hear from you

Ok go argue somewhere else. I want to get back on track here. A few people have asked me if I'm willing to accept half finished code or ideas and if i'm open to collaborate to finish something together. The answer is that yes I'd be willing to work with you to finish an algorithm since I...

If you have an automated futures intraday trading strategy I'd like to hear from you

I'm not arguing that it's the lowest in the business, however I pay 78 cents a RT whether I do 1 RT or 100 RT's a day. I'm not forced to trade high volume just to get that cheap. So I can trade any product I want at very low commissions regardless of volume.

If you have an automated futures intraday trading strategy I'd like to hear from you

We bought dedicated servers at a cost of 10's of thousands of dollars. Does that answer your question.

If you have an automated futures intraday trading strategy I'd like to hear from you

OK except the amount of PM's I got already for people wanting to work with me suggests you are wrong. Not everyone has the resources to pull off automated strategies. I do. Thanks for coming out.

If you have an automated futures intraday trading strategy I'd like to hear from you

Hello, The prop firm I trade at has recently bought a whole bunch of servers so that its traders (like me) can trade fully automated strategies in various futures products across the CME, ICE, Liffe and Eurex. I'm looking for blossoming algo traders that want to work with an experienced trader...

Recommendations for Vancouver Prop Firms/Remote Trading in Vancouver

Orbixa is located at 7080 river road. second floor, look for a sign on the door that says Chang trading. There's also a place in richmond called Ser Man traders. Not a prop shop though from my understanding it's more of a place to get education. The 2 guys that run it can trade though. They have...

Setting max contract and position size on ES trading

You can pretty much build that in xtraders ADL. Basically use an algo that closes the position once you loose whatever amount you specify. You might need xtrader pro license (not sure if it adl works with regular xtrader) and ask a broker how much it would cost to have adl on top.

    Futures spread ratios and multipliers

Here's a video that explains what I'm trying to get good at. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEWNKYK1z70&list=PLCnaCAxNEkkWC3jCD2xi7qkUgE7mOQJcQ&index=8 The spread multiplier is the way you can represent a spread in CQG or some other charting software. It's actually pretty complicated...

    Futures spread ratios and multipliers

Hey folks, Need some help in learning how to create spread multipliers based on a given spread ratio. Does anyone know the proper way of constructing a good multiplier if I come up with a decent ratio. It can get pretty complicated when dealing with treasury futures as leg 1 and some...

    Cryptocurrency and potential marketcap

There may be miners that drop off if there arent any more coins to mine (this wont happen till 2140). However the miners that stay on will make money via transaction fees. Its a genius system because it rewards miners with fees for verifying even after all coins have been mined. currently the...

    Cryptocurrency and potential marketcap

While its true that another cryptocoin may come and dominate it, it would probably take a while for it to happen and you could get in early on it. Also yes there would probably be only 2 or 3 coins that would be relevant in the future. It may be bitcoin but you have to remember there are some...

    Cryptocurrency and potential marketcap

So i'm trying to gather reasons and facts that would support a thesis that cryptocurrencies combined market cap may exceed a few hundred billion dollars in a few years. In order for this to happen we'd have to prove that it makes sense to store a portion of your wealth in crypocurrency, even if...

Looking to transfer my Excel spreadsheet algo into a popular language

The issue with staying on Excel is that it takes a while for the realtime prices to update on the excel spreadsheet. I need almost no delay for that and I need it to send orders very quickly as well. The most I can afford is maybe half a second from the realtime action to when the order is...
