Measuring Latency of Order to Currenex

I am working with a third party execution software that is being rigged to execute on Currenex. Is there a way for me to measure the time it takes the order to travel from a trader's PC to the third party software server to the Currenex server?

    Currenex, HotSpotFxi, etc. through Globaledgetrading.com

Sorry guys, had to postpone the Vegas trip until early next week. As soon as I return, I will let you all know how it went. In the meantime, if anyone has any info on these guys, let me know. There doesn't seem to be any good or bad info on the net about them. That may be a good or bad thing...

    Currenex Compatible Platforms?

Nick, maybe that's for the broker to worry. I was told by Oded from SR that the broker has to install something on their server. It is a server-based application. Why would you have to pay for that?

    Currenex Compatible Platforms?

JLarsen, I'll let you know how things go at Las Vegas next week. You might find a better option for your TS-CX combination.

    Currenex Compatible Platforms?

johnmo, don't know about Hypertrader.it. Don't know if it works with CX. To tell you the truth, we had had a few back to back hectic weeks, so I didn't make the time to research it. Nick, Futures_Man is right. Man and ODL work with CX, but any CX broker is able to do it. From my...

    Currenex, HotSpotFxi, etc. through Globaledgetrading.com

Thanks, Nick. You're right. Their head guy is Frank Conlin (spelling?). I spoke to him today. He was telling me that even when you scalp on Currenex, there's a chance that one big bank will be at the best price a lot. If you hit that bank a lot of times, they might ask the FCM to kick your ass...

    Currenex, HotSpotFxi, etc. through Globaledgetrading.com

Nick, in my post about platforms compatible with Currenex (http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=75471), you suggested looking into Globaledgetrading.com. One of their guys paid a visit to our Miami office today (I guess the word gets around when you're looking for...

    currenex vs hotspotfxi

turbokaos, Capital Forex Pro's liquidity through their Currenex platform is good, but our scalpers don't like using the clunky Currenex platform. Stops have to be cancelled manually if a position is exited manually - which really slows things up if you're scalping. You can't place OCO's either.

    Currenex Compatible Platforms?

Thanks Futures_Man. One of our scalpers is already demoing SR, but today it froze up on him and was closing out the program when he was scalping. I don't know what significance this has at all. It's probably just the demo. I am working on other solutions where I won't have to pay an execution...

Any Recommendation for MT4 based Fx Broker

BigGun, I'm not saying that Forexbastards.com is a scam or Felixbastard.com is a fluke; but there is a lot of info out there that makes you wonder if a lot of these reviews are fake or not.

Any Recommendation for MT4 based Fx Broker

Hi BigGun, I'm not saying that their good or not - just that the proof is in the pudding. I also don't believe everthing that's posted on Forexbastards.com. Someone from EFX pointed me to http://www.felixbastard.com/ Apparently, there is a lot of rigging on the website.

    Broker for Scalping!!

Hey, what happened. When I checked this thread this morning, there was a reply from z-forex.com (a MIG Investments IB). I guess it was deleted by the moderator. z-forex.com claims on their website that scalping is allowed, yet MIG does not say this at all on their website. z-forex also said on...

Any Recommendation for MT4 based Fx Broker

For scalping? NONE. I want to see what COESfx pulls off with their MT4-ECN combination. So far, their demo does not convince me, even though some guys at Forex Factory swear by it. They told me to give them a few weeks to iron things out. I'll have to see it to believe it.

    Currenex Compatible Platforms?

Viper, I will also keep you posted on how it goes on our end with the CX "experiments." I'm not really sure who uses the standard CX platform for scalping - if anyone at all. It is so "crappy." (excuse my use of sophisticated adjectives) We will also be experimenting with the EFX/MBT feed and...

That's great Pippi436; the problem is that not even Currenex knows when the new version of the platform is going to be ready.:)

End of forex brokers CME & Reuters join forces

PIPe PIPer and Viper, I agree that $25 per million per side is great, but PFG wanted to charge us $50 per million per side ($100 round trip per million - 1 pip). This makes no sense, so I wonder how they're getting business (unless, of course, the guys that I spoke to were trying to pull a fast...

    Broker for Scalping!!

james, z-forex.com is not the one that determines if scalping is allowed or not. They are not the broker. They are the IB. MIG investments decides this. Nowhere on MIG's site is the word "scalping" mentioned. If you want to scalp with a fixed-spread broker, go ahead. When you start trading size...

    platforms in fast markets

Viper, I don't know exactly what you mean when you ask if we have access to the API ourselves or for the group. Gavin, from Capital Forex Pro, referred to an individual programmer for custom API programming. The guy lives in the United States, but not in Miami, Florida where our office is...

End of forex brokers CME & Reuters join forces

Hey Viper, I have spoken to PFG various times, but what they wanted to charge me was around $50 per million per side. This is double what some Currenex white label providers have charged me. Do you guys have a different commission arrangement? Do you use them to "scalp" and generate a lot...

    platforms in fast markets

Viper, I don't know why you say that the API cannot be accessed by anyone other than a white label provider. Gavin from Capital Forex Pro referred me to a programmer that they work with and so did a guy at Currenex. I just don't want to start from scratch if I have to. I saw that...
