    lowest commision on ES please

I'm partial to the 30yr and 10yr over the ES, so I'll never get to that type of volume, but I can see how you could do that. They don't move through ticks like ES does and there is no waiver from the Cbot, so I try to stay with lower volume strategies.

To be a great trader you must think like a "pro dealer."

This is true, but the rules are still posted on the table, and the dealer does not try to out think the player. The dealer just deals the cards and follows the rules of the table. A good dealer is a fast dealer and friendly, not someone who tries to hustle the player lol.

    lowest commision on ES please

Talk to Howard at deepdiscounttrading.com. The way he explained it to me, it seemed like he uses a simple scale for all people that trade through him. The scale he emailed me was: Level 1 : 0 - 999 RTs = .50¢ per side (on all your trades) Level 2 : 0 - 1000+ RTs = .45¢ per side (on all...

Simple, you use more than a 1lot.

    lowest commision on ES please

You can get CTS' T4 for $500/month, CQG for $575-875/month, or X-Trader for $1,000/month since you will only need one exchange at a time I assume. Even using the $1,000/month fees for front end, that is $0.10 a roundturn assuming 10k/month. Platform fee effects the bottom line less and less the...

    lowest commision on ES please

Part of the confusion is the jargon you use since you come from equities. Just go to a broker not a prop firm to get those commissions, which you will most likely get because you said you can do 10k or more a month. The leverage is already built into futures. You do NOT need a prop firm if you...

    lowest commision on ES please

Okay but no one allows you to negotiate the exchange fee. It is what it is. A prop firm won't let you pay less than what is suppose to be paid. I know of places where you could get $0.30 commission or lower per roundturn if you do 10k for the month, but you then just have to worry about...

    lowest commision on ES please

Everything net said is true, and you obviously know little of futures, which is surprising if you say you can do over 10k contracts a month. Why are you coming to a message board to find your answers? Surely you know some people. More volume will lower the commission rate, but you still have to...

Trading with a Stop Loss in the Futures Market is for Losers

I don't know about you, but I count opportunity cost as a real loss. So I should hold a loser for a week or more just to get 1 es handle of profit, lol? Get real. You're ridiculous. Might as well not trade and put your money in an income generating instrument. You'll get the same profit with...

Trading with a Stop Loss in the Futures Market is for Losers

The underlying of what emg is saying is correct, but the values given are way exaggerated and his statements are false. He probably is so stubborn because part of what he says makes sense, but for some reason he takes it to the extreme. Are you really suggesting someone should keep 100k in their...

If Someone Sells a Put I Sold Them...

Just because you use options doesn't mean you aren't an investor, though I would think investors stick mainly to selling puts and calls for extra income. Another important trait is that the investor only sells covered calls or sells puts with the full intention of holding onto the stock if it...

    Stop Using Stop Losses

If you actually believe this and are still a trader, you must be a gigantic piece of trash just like the used car salesman who deliberately sells people cars they know are garbage. A person's trading adds value to the market. Limit orders provide liquidity and the market orders help price...

To be a great trader you must think like a "pro dealer."

Maybe you should stick to generic and ambiguous insights to the market because it's clear you don't know shit about blackjack or casinos. What you say is already obvious. Buy the bottom and sell the top and markets are rhythmic. Thanks for the pro tips......

Just how liquid is the ES!?!

And this is a surprise???? Oh yea, a very big news event just happened, but I think I'm going to keep my 5k in assorted lots just where they are because I want to provide liquidity irrespective of the fact that I'm about to get ass raped by the market. Compared to other instruments like nasdaq...

    Lowest commissions futures broker?

That shouldn't be weird at all. Those costs don't come from him but are from the platforms themselves. Go to each individual platform site, and you will see. Unless you happen to like opaque pricing, I don't see why this is a problem. You need to know that NO ONE gives free charting or software...

    Protecting your strategies

I honestly don't know what the paranoia is about here. A system that does about 50 trades a year. I highly doubt you are going to get so front run that the edge would evaporate unless you somehow magically get the low tick all the time. The holding period for trades is very important here too...

1/4% Tax on all stock trades pushed in NY Times today

Well I thought it was obvious I was mistaken with my edit, but I'll apologize and if you really want me to take it down I will. I knew you weren't trolling when I put in the edit, but thought it best to leave the post as is.

    Protecting your strategies

With the amount of work it takes to reverse engineer a system, wouldn't the person be better served to just make their own system? Just a thought. Why are traders so extremely paranoid? It's something I've seen throughout the community as a general rule.
