Futures Traders- What percentage of your net worth are you trading with?

I use 1.5% constant risk per trade, hard stops. Mostly a swing trader. Currently trade 2 ES contracts. After 2-3 more winners I'll be ready for 3, spent 7 months trading 1-2, this line of work is not easy. My goal is to reach the 10 mark and of course more, so far with 2 I can barely...

Did Robert Hoffman really lose 312K in a single TF trade? Yikes!

Even more evidence that those who cannot trade, teach and that those that can, got no reason to. The few times I add to a loser I feel like I did not know what I was doing when I initially entered or should have taken a loss and re-enter. Bottom-line I think averaging down is irrefutable...

give me simple day trading method that works?

The market is either consolidating, trending or closed. Certain areas make price consolidate, study to recognize these areas. Others areas and/or actions make price trend, same as above, recognize them. Use your trending tools when its trending and your fading tools when consolidated...

I kind of like to trade price and not crystal balls though. Hard to tell now with a closed market where we could close you know :p FoN

Did Robert Hoffman really lose 312K in a single TF trade? Yikes!

I'd like to see some educator out there that tells people, don't add to losers but press your position when things move your way. Everyone seems to be in the averaging down camp and well, we know what those results look like as time goes by. FoN

Just read that Nasdaq broke decade highs or something like that. This is when it becomes hard for me to keep on buying, even if the market looks strong, which in turn always makes me miss breakouts. Going to try and see if I can actually defeat that barrier this time. Unless we reverse...

I'm just a beginner who had a good week but it was a pleasure to see a few amazing traders trade this week in this journal. All very different styles but equally impressive. Action Jackson scalping like a tornado, ESDreamer caching the bottom and exiting near the high, NAD giving bull...

    2011: Rebuilding My Battered Account

I don't know the whole history of your trading but it's quite obvious in the past months maybe year or year(s) you do not have positive expectancy. On the contrary you have negative expectancy and it's depleting your account. Maybe I'm stating the obvious, not sure. FoN

I trade cash but only 2 contracts. Most of my success comes from swing trading, intraday charts are much too noisy for me, it's not that I cannot read them is that most of the time they look good and then turn into complete crap, as they say the chop kills. Mostly use 60min or higher...
