I saw the same opportunity on the hourly charts - but we are in a serious bull run and i would prefer to only trade with the trend. I waited until it retracted a bit and got in on the long side.

trade any pair and fade the double 00's - doesnt always work but when it does - whoa nelly! i.e - this year EUR.USD approached 1.4900 twice and each time it sold off over 100 pips! Never risk more than 15 - 20 pips. Great risk to reward ratio!

In my humble opinion the rules of the game were not set up to favor the small individual trader. Hence you must figure out a way to outfox the fox. As soon as the announcement came out that the daily limits were being raised your "smells like a rat" nose should have been up in the air...

well - if you are not trading them, don't! I tried them today and the spreads were crazy! at some point as much as 50¢ - unless I am missing something, it is just a surefire way to lose money.
