What do you do when you break your own rules?

Kind of depends on whether you lost on the trade, won on the trade, or...failed to make the trade. For me, failing to make the trade is the biggest killer, and the most frustrating. I missed four points today on 2 trades, because I let fear enter into my thinking. I trade sharp pullbacks...

    swing trading style?

Prunepicker - If I may offer an obversation, it sounds like you have a basic problem with confidence in your system, or lack of a systematic approach. I would advise that you need to nail down your approach more firmly before even attempting to trade a market such as this. Best to remain on...

dddooo, that's why God, or Bill Gates, invented computers. So you don't have sit and watch your candidates. There are a number of systems that will track your setups and signal when met. Personally, I use RT Investor for backtesting, tracking and trading signals. I can set triggers for any...

    what is your top-ten stocks-list ?

I've gotta take strong exception to the comments regarding stocks under 20. Don't know where your logic is with that. In the past two months I've booked 20K in profits swinging ORCL between 9 and 10. The price of a stock has NO bearing on its value as a trading vehicle, IMHO.

    what is your top-ten stocks-list ?

Well, that would put me at about 500K for the single trade. Pigs get fed, but hogs.....

ERTS should be in anyone's list of favorites. Solid support on any weakness, and trades beautifully in just about any time frame. If only I had 10 more like it!:)
