Question about Vega & Setting up a Short Calendar Spread

You cannot generally aggregate Raw Vega across different months to determine the position's nett Vega ... better to weight the Vega's from different expiries using Square Root Time or similar

Do you have access to IG Index CFD / Spreadbettors ? ... if so then you could sell puts with same strike as covered call ( as equivalent positions ) Spreads are wide ... and skewed in favour of their book ... but given most US brokers have a problem opening accounts for non-US residents ... may...

would love to know how the average TastyTrader has done in this

... and there is the irony ... Sosnoff frequently states that "there is nothing more expensive than something that is free"

would love to know how the average TastyTrader has done in this

We should ... but apparently many TastyTrade devotees don't ... that's their magic ... like all scams ... and this one is designed to generate commissions for it's brokerage business

would love to know how the average TastyTrader has done in this

You now seem to accept our arguments about Sossy and TastyTurd ... there is no financial network that will teach you how to trade options But it's worse than that ... any financial network that encourages relative new traders to trade naked strangles across many different tickers without any...

would love to know how the average TastyTrader has done in this

Why, when it is so much fun ... anyway ... just doing a little public service ... to try and prevent the next generation of TastyTraders ending up in the same shitshow as the current generation who prbably wish they had never heard of Sossy and TastyTurd

would love to know how the average TastyTrader has done in this

Regulatory arbitrage ... is that what you call it ... the rest of us call it FRAUD Sossy didn't have to see her books to know it was FRAUDULENT ... I pointed it to out Sossy plenty of times on ET ... which is why he got me banned for 4 years

Why offer an App that allows people to track your trades but not your P/L ... like watching a football match without ever knowing the score Either pure vanity ... or a way of drumming up comms from the sheeple

would love to know how the average TastyTrader has done in this

Along with all his TastyTurd followers ... is he going to admit that the TastyTrade method is as much use as a chocolate teapot ?

would love to know how the average TastyTrader has done in this

Except Sossy's argument is when challenged goes ... I have made a living trading this way for 30 years ... However, I won't show you my P/L ... you will have to take it on trust ... But I will demonstrate by training up some newbies ... which almost always end in disaster ... and by the way...

would love to know how the average TastyTrader has done in this

Sossy was essentially short strangles across 80+ different tickers ... and by his own admission ... his short delta was good for the first 3% drop When the tide rolled out ... Sossy was found completely stark bollock naked ... except for his beret !

Trade Alert on SPY vol structure

Selling OTM Calls at high IV all the way down has been a good trade ... I seem to remember it working well back in 2009 As an example, Index Vols for Dec20 are 45% ( compared with normal levels of 15% ) ... Calls that are 20% OTM ... are attractive ... if your assumption is that Vols will fall...

Are Traders Finally Done With TastyTrade?

Ask Sossy how his edge / optimisation / risk control is doing now after market crash / vol expansion Sossy was short strangles in probably 80 different stocks opened when #1 market was near all time highs #2 Vol was near historical lows

    Why will this not work?

The UK CFD/Spreadbet brokers offer GUARANTEED stops on most major indices and FX pairs to protect against gap risk ... minimal cost / only charged if stop triggered. They used to allow traders to simultaneously take both a Long and a Short position in the same underlying ... with guaranteed...

Noobie question about probability of ITM (math, probability)
