Trendlines are results of mechanical action of market.
Laws of physics ( mechanics ) are aplicable to almost any trading situation .
For predicting future reversals or congestions these laws must be modified for each type of a price action ( trending, range bound).
This is good but it can be much better with minor improvements. Looks like you have a discipline in place so it should be a breeze for you to to put in one extra filter .
It just depends how you use them, I have developed several trendlines based methods for intraday trading, using very tight stops . They must be used in fractal mode. Much more work though and that is why almost nobody is doing it.
Those described above would be ok for daily timeframe .
Best universal methods are IMO those which identify start and end of a cycle . When cycle ends, get out on divergence or deviation . Advantage of cycle analysis is that you will know ahead of time when you will be getting out .
What I meant was that if your call says that price will be at 50.00 around 14:00est what will the difference between your call and actual price around 14:00 est . Basically what is the price accuracy ? 10-15 cents in oil from nearest peak( bottom)?
My experience says that peaks and...
How far is the projected entry and exit point from actual highs and lows ( reversals ) ? If you would use qqqq as an example , my guess is ( based on my research ) that your projected entries are at least 0.07 away from actual reversals on average .
That would be great ! Running it in journal eod would not take too much time . If rules of your system are valid for eod I can adapt it for intraday if needed .
Cause is a price action by itself not what caused price movement .
Based solely on charted price action there are many ways one can forecast reversals on any time frame and any volatile market .
That is correct, that is why I look for pullbacks (reversal points) in the future. Worst thing can happen is that reversal point will not be confirmed and I go for the next one. But price level at that forecasted point is always tradeable. See qqqq at 9:55 est . You could have made couple of...
What I am saying is that if one knows WHEN the price will be on reversal level, then one does not have to know WHAT that price will be , price is not important .
