The thing is when you start out you wont be doing huge volume so you will still end up having to pay a lot of $$$$ in desk fees for at least the first 6-12 months. I think they would have more chance in getting new traders interested if the desk fee's were lower while you were learing the game.

FGBLMSTX, do you not find it tuff paying $2500 a month in desk fee's while you are still learning the game. I definitely would.

Why be jealous about achievements of the worlds greatest investor. The guy is a genius. There is to many elitetrader members who post negative comments about him and they probably havent even earnt a dime from the markets.

I am in the process of negotiating a deal with Dell to buy the t3500 workstation listed above. When you buy Dell products and pay the prices quoted on the dell website you are paying a premium because its dell equipment. Any opinions on what the premium is compared to other PC builders 10,20 or 30%?

HI Michael,you either have to become a mechanical trader or look at trading from the same perspective that Mark Douglas looks at trading. His book Trading in the Zone is a Classic.

I will look at the 10K RPM drives. I did think about getting a PC built , but I got to admit I do like Dells. I have never had any problems with any of my Dell equipment. If I get a PC built for me I just cant see it being as reliable as a dell. There support is good as well if it is needed.

Scataphagos & LeeD, it definitely makes sense to go for 2 NVS295 graphics cards rather than 1 quad card.
