The IRV on bar 44 is a lateral formation BO, hence non-dominant. Geometrically, that could be called a traverse, but the gaussians wouldn't support it.

Up until very recently short was non-dominant. 10 bars after the long traverse RTL break and we still didn't have an R2R.

Bar 53 reversed long. Wondering if the real channel point 1 was at 10:55. The past hour and a half was an aimless lateral drifting, or more technically, appears to be a lateral traverse, in which case I'd anticipate a long traverse once volume returns.

No wonder... bar 36 set off the drift.

    Bar 47 is perplexing.

Just struck me why we opened the way we did... we were still looking for our channel point 2. I've been paying more attention to geometry than Gaussians. So glad I dropped the YM (even if it does mean RTH passes much more slowly). WMCN is the foundation for everything.

Bar 41. Reversed long near the close.

I just realized that in reversing on the F1 bar, I completely disregarded the faster fractal LTL! Anticipating a brief surge long. But not certain enough to take the reversal.

Had a feeling that would happen. In trying to relegate second thoughts and act more decisively, context was marginalized. Peak volume FTT so staying short.

Reversal short. The only thing that dilutes the certainty is the fact that it occurred right after a successful range expansion.

Thanks for the encouragement, sscott. Still feels like I'm blundering through all this like a rhino in a china-shop. If any of this is helpful to anyone else, the learning process, as slow and disjointed as it may have been, suddenly becomes so much more worthwhile. Hopefully this...

Four reversals in, still a net deficit from the opening trade. Shifted a fractal to regain lost ground.

I sometimes wonder how useful it would be if trading platforms came with a fast-forward button. Or at least a pint-sized DeLorean.

The slowness is soporific, and the silence deafening. Ivory tower solitude. A-team, you're all welcome to chime in. This isn't just my soapbox you know! :p

In classifying bar 17 as a flaw, rather than a 2-bar lateral BO/FBO post sequence completion, I failed to promptly recognize the SOC.

This may be a puerile question, but does a non-dominant open definitively preclude the possibility of a short trending day? If so, I might anticipate a W day. I'll refer to my chartbooks for an answer.

The other (AKA correct) version, with amended gaussians. So the 3rd leg of the long channel was a tape.
