    Futures Market vs. Cash Market

I have begun doing research into futures trading, and I have noticed that there seems to be a competition for market share between the futures market and cash market. Is this correct? Can anyone provide some history behind this? It seems that the futures industry is using the PDT rules...

    Stock trading getting worse

Yep, DIM=Deep in Money. PDT doesn't bug me that much, as I swing trade, but that time decay thing really gets to me. Someone mentions SSF to me earlier as an alternative, so I will check them out. Thanks:)

    Stock trading getting worse

Your post has started my research into futures! From what I found, I am going to start trading these. I trade DIM options profitably, but time decay eats large pieces of my profits, and the spreads are so bad that I have to use a lower delta to offset them if my postion moves against me...

    Gann Theory Chat

The Gann material that I have is designed to keep the trader from overtrading, IMO. For example: If we were using all of Gann, first we would need to make a yearly forecast for 2003. That would mean looking at 90 years of data at 90, 70, 50, 30, 20 and 10 year intervals. That alone would...

    Gann Theory Chat

:D :D :D Truth is, I'm lazy. Once I get the Gann cluster together at the weekly level, I just trade that. I have tried trading on the 12 minute level, but if you really do it the way Gann wants it done, that is just too much darned work!

I have noticed that if you use all of the Gann rules to form a cluster, you won't get many signals, but the ones you get will be very profitable.:) I got the cluster idea from Connie Brown, in her book.

Have you found any trading use for the circle of 24? So far, I haven't been able to incorporate this one lone concept.

    Gann Theory Chat

Actually, after getting Gann's courses I have to say that Murrey got his ideas from Gann's angle course, but Murrey says that Gann never bothered to continue dividing the range of a market by eighths until a trading range was reached. Murrey's time cycles are also different from Gann's...

Hmmm, I was under impression that Gann's angles were different than Gann's cycles.

    Gann Theory Chat

Actually, if you have Gann's courses, it is there. Murrey says nothing about a circle of 24, and most of his work is based on Gann's angle course.

Nasdaq topped on Apr 7th, 2003

OOOOO, I love these kind of discussions!!:D What evidence do you have that the Nasdaq has topped?

Do you plan to discuss Gann's cycle work in this chat? I have most of Gann's work, I have been curious about the circle of 24, that is the only one I am not clear on at this point. What about the astro aspects?
