    wealth-lab 3.0

My only complain is that it does not handle tick charts. Probably the best place to ask about WL3.0 is at the wealth-lab site itself. pretzel

    Trend Day on April 7tth

The call was based on statistics. Although the statistic is > 50%, it is not 100%. So, nothing wrong with being "wrong". I think the next time there is a large gap, the same call will be made? How much was your stop loss for this kind of play? (The point where you will be proven...

    Trend Day on April 7tth

Trend days occur after a large gap Large gaps have a tendency to not be filled on the day they occur Therefore, if the gap will not be filled because it is a large gap and the day of the gap will be a trend day, then it will be a trend day in the direction of the gap, which is up. There...

    Profit Taking Strategy

AA, Some questions: With partial profit taking, you take the first profit at point X and the 2nd profit at Y. When you did the backtest with all or none, did you take all the profits at point X or point Y ? How do you determine where point X or Y should be without violating the rule of...

    Keeping It Simple II

You can find the "details" of this ridiculously simple system here. Dont even have to be glued to the monitor to trade this system. And, I never asked anybody to switch - just showing another simple system - since this thread is about simple systems. I tried this system before but it's...

    Keeping It Simple II

That's why I say it takes a lot of guts to trade this system. This is an even simpler variation - only 7 lines of code and only 1 line for entry and 1 line for exit. Look at the unbelievable results. pretzel

This is one of lindq's system. You can see more lindq-based scripts by doing a search on "lindq" on the Wealth-Lab site. pretzel

    Keeping It Simple II

lindq, Your system is definitely more simple than the one discussed here. The complicated part is in the selection of stocks for tracking. And imo, it takes a lot of guts to follow your system (catching a falling knife ?). BTW, opening bar breakout system here. pretzel

Is there an option in the eSignal charting package to use the exchange time as the time for the charts? I remember there is no need to fumble with timezones with Qcharts when I used it before. pretzel

    Teaching a teenager to trade

Yannis, Try this suggestion by NQoos - using the sim-broker should be similar to playing a video game which I think a teenager would rather do - sort of learning by playing. pretzel
