No one is going to teach you under that agreement. I have no idea who ggoyal is or whether he is a profitable trader, but I will say this. Whether he is or not may impact what you learn. In my non-trading profession, have learned from people who do their job half as well as I do mine. But I...

S2Trader, The book is full of information that you can glean from other sources and, if you've been reading intensely on the topic, you have already read the same information. That is why I asked earlier if anyone else who had bought the book would like to summarize what they found in the...

Ironfist, I said it before about OHLC bars. They're the way to go as I explained earlier. But having said that no one is talking about how to enter and exit. No one is giving real advice in this thread anymore. Buying a book is not advice. I bought the book. Would someone who bought book...

I just took a quick look at this, but, if I'm not mistaken, it looks pretty good. That is, if green represents buy and red represents sell. What were the signals you programmed in for buys and sells? Maybe, we can refine it.

Ironfist, First of all, hope your health is fine. That's the most important thing. Secondly, as you know, I use a version of the HH, HL method, but I was, like you intrigued with the ggoyal post. We all understand, after study, that there is another layer to understanding the...

I am no expert, but after learning and experimenting with all kinds of charts, I found that bar charts with the close were the best for reading price action and patterns. They really do embody the history that of price patterns and price reading. Candles really reflect a different kind of...

Breaking News...Ponzi Scheme One Thousand Times Larger Than Madoff Scheme Uncovered!!

Overall, universal health care leads to better health for the entire population of a country. The U.S. fairs very poorly in almost every health care category when compared to other developed countries, ranking 37th overall. Forget the politics on this one. Universal Health Care is the...

You plotted point five on your chart perfectly. After it hits point 5 and reverses enter or wait until it passes point 4 and enter.

You would NOT be picking the top or bottom. You would be entering in an established trend. Remember, this is according to PA at its most basic level. Entering in a new trend after its confirmed. 3rd or 5th point.

You took the last trade at Point 6, not Point 5. I would have taken it after point 5. You would have potentially made some money on the trade depending on what your exit strategy was. I know I haven't discussed exits yet, but I wanted you to try getting used to entering either after point...

That's correct. After point 5, a HL, I would enter. Have you tried that strategy yet? Say in a certain time frame or using CVB? BTW, I've also tried entering after point 3 and some people trade that way based on S or Volume prior to that. In your second example, the 2n point 2 would...

That defines a POTENTIAL reversal, not a reversal. You can't trade off of it. In my humble opinion, you need, at least five points, to enter a trade. That is if you're using a system and PA. Have tried entering after LOW, HH, HL, HH, HL? If so, how did you do?

Exactly! How many HL and HH do you usually wait for?

IF Have you decided how many HL and HH to wait for before you enter? I saw you posted a number of choices, but everyone told you do find your own style. I'm curious what you're currently doing. BTW, I've tried each with mixed results. One trader that I watch and whom has a fairly good...

I agree. I'm nervous about buying near support as this is a bear market and I'm more comfortable selling at resistance. Can you explain how you might decide to pull the trigger once we get near support? Or why you didn't buy at 857 (not close enough to support or didn't like the volume or...

Thanks for the response. Nice job. I like the way you analyzed this. It reminds me of one of the original trading books. I can't remember if it's one of the Livermore books or the Wyckoff book. But it's the one where they analyze price moves in terms of the intent of the big buyers and...

What kind of set-ups do you focus on, Jon? I focus on the simplest for now. I use two strategies, still trying to refine each. By after second hh and hl or after third. I something use the pullback, but not always. I want to stick to one or the other (buy on pullback or not,) but I...

Good post. I look at SM, too. Meaning I look at volume. Is it strong as it reaches a peak or nadir? So far, that's what I've done. Can you elaborate on what you've learned about smart money in relation to volume? Thanks.

Mandelset, What I was asking Nuke was how his method works, so don't get all upset. I liked the resistance is an illusion for one reason. It explains the breaks in resitance. It's kind of like it exists but it doesn't. As you know from my other posts, I use S and R and treads and I'm...

Nuke, I haven't read the last number of pages, but I'm intrigued by your excellent post. You made some really smart comments and I'm wondering if you could expand on them. I agree 100 percent that it's all about bias and probabilities and I've been trying to implement that in my trading...
