    Foreclosure Question

Wrong! See my earlier post. Further, if as you say title will remain with the new owner, then whom exactly is the "banks insurance" supposed to pay, and why? Also, what insurance would that be? Title insurance? If so, then only the new buyer would be entitled to make a claim. But, if as...

    Foreclosure Question

They claim they were told they were $10k behind. Really? On an $880k mortgage that would be less than 3 months behind. I'll bet they were more like 6 months behind. Which would make the $25k figure more or less correct. These people are deadbeats. They serially file bankruptcy. First, one...

    Foreclosure Question

I can only comment on Florida law. In Florida, a defendant has up a year to seek to set aside a final judgment based upon either newly discovered evidence, fraud, misrepresentation, or other misconduct. So, yes it is certainly possible for the former homeowner to convince the court that...

house traders catching a falling knife

Well, since the title of the thread is house traders, as a house trader, let me tell you that I'm not paying retail prices for property. If there is not at least $30k in net profit, or I'm not doubling my money on lower end property, I'm not buying it.

    Abolish inheritance

Abolish inheritance, eh? So, the govt. gets all of my wealth when I die? And what are they going to do with it? Give it to undeserving assholes? I'd rather pick my own undeserving assholes, thank you every much. Signed, Undeserving asshole

Forced retirement account bill now in the Senate.

Yep, and having now gotten there, I'm afraid there is no going back.

Forced retirement account bill now in the Senate.

Actually, no it was not an excellent job of describing the bill. More fear-mongering than anything else. The headline screams "Mandatory Retirement Accounts..." There is nothing mandatory about it, with the exception that employees are automatically enrolled unless and until they opt out...

Just Watched PBS Special on 'The Crash of 1929'

Just ran across this Crash of 1929 PBS Special. Interesting to see the perspective of people, and the idea of money for nothing. Me thinkst not much has changed. http://video.pbs.org/video/1308436568/

ES traders key off SPY or SPX ?

I believe the conventional wisdom is that the futures lead the cash. Honestly, its not something I have dwelled upon.

ES traders key off SPY or SPX ?

Neither. FYI, SPX is only updated every 15 sec, that can be an eternity. Just monitor the instrument you are trading.

I have a Tempur-pedic mattress, and I love it. Have owned it for several years. I also love their contured pillow. You can find reviews of different style and manufacturers of mattresses here: http://sleeplikethedead.com/bed-mattress-review-home.html

Dell says 3PAR accepts its upped offer of $24.30

To tell you how ridiculous this has gotten, the BOD initially agreed to accept $18/sh. Tells you where they valued the company.

Man was todays market a tough read or what?

As I perused your post I pondered "why haven't you put this guy on ignore long before now?" "Is there something profound you are likely to miss?" Ehhhh, no, I highly doubt it. Nike slogan then comes into mind. Yes, yes I will.

3 words to life by... "Don't chase em"

In the trading context, that is not necessarily true. Sometimes chasing works, and sometimes it doesn't. The trick is to recognize that you are chasing, and to limit your risk accordingly.

Ron Paul Calls for Audit of US Gold Reserves

It might be better to keep the Wizard of OZ behind the curtain on this one. Anything less than "its all there", and there is going to be real havoc in the marketplace.

is Ninja/Ritimic better than tos for filling orders in ES?

No, that is not normal. I have traded the ES for over 5 years with nothing but limit orders. If I have a resting limit order @1050, I am in the cue @1050. Price does not have to completely run through 1050 in order for me to get filled. Now, it may be that a large order comes in and takes me...
