Ok I've seen that happen but when I looked at the tick trail left in button trader it was clear in my particular case (maybe not yours) that the quotes had been moved/cancelled in multi pip leaps - basically what bank dealers do in a fast market. In fairness the quotes are generally very stable...

I've had no problems with executions on this product.

Take partial profits. ( not being a wise ass, it's the only way I know unless it is a really obvious trend or range day). Same for all of us, if you let your profits run they evaporate, if you take profits the market breaks and keeps going.

What are the issues with IQ feed? Curious as I was looking at them as a possibility.

It seems to me if you blend candlestick patterns into one you come up with the same basic patterns - indicating either volatility compressing or that heavy buying/selling came in. That's what I use them for and for their superior visuality. I don't trade off the pattern per se.

I agree, it's very useful - especially being able to set different .wav files for different stocks/alets, but it is so useful for stocks I am using it for non TWS feed and it can only take data from one feed at a time. Need block alert for TWS HSI futs.

Anyone using this app and able to get the alert function to trigger? One thing I cannot get to work is the audio (.wav, or for that matter any) alert when a block of a certain size trades (e.g 100 lot) - as far as I can tell everything is set up correctly but it never triggers. I assume 'vol'...

Will tick data make market profile and other volume profiling do-able? Just a thought

Presumably tick data is required for 'number of trades' to be recorded? Something to bear in mind even if you don't use tick charts (I do)
