any good chat rooms in Paltalk & Hotcomm?

Has anyone had any experience with "Maurice ES education room" on Paltalk? I just started a free trial with him. He makes clear concise calls with his undisclosed system. So far after a few days I'm broke even but I'm hoping to make a couple of points a day per contract like he claims should...

    Canadian Brokerages Rip Customers off

I've tried most of the stock brokers and fund dealers in Canada and found all kinds of problems with service and pricing. What works the best right now for me is Interactive Brokers for stocks and for my Mutual Funds and Hedge Funds I'm using ASL Direct. There are a lot of fees associated with...

    Order for breakout strategey

I've been experimenting with a breakout strategy for YM futures and I'm using Interactive Brokers. For example, if I see the last price exceed 10471, I send out a market buy order. If the market is moving quickly, by the time I get the order placed, I might get it filled 5 points higher at...

    Automated trading through Excel

I've just made an Excel spreadsheet that can record intraday bars of any time period. It can then make calculations based on those bars and place trades. I've included a real/simulated trading switch so I can run it for a while in simulated mode. If I can get it to be consistantly profitable...

IB TWS Excel API help needed

Gringinho is right, you will have to use visual basic in Excel to do what you're talking about. I've been able to learn some of it myself but it's not that easy. Most times I would just do a search and find a visual basic script that I could modify for my own needs. For example, a couple of...

IB TWS Excel API help needed

On a computer that you have TWS installed, look under C:\Jts\excel and you'll find a file called dde.xls This file will connect to TWS. The file will take TWS data into Excel and it can send orders to TWS. You could modify the file for your own needs. As for a timed function in Excel I've...

Do Not Buy Gas May 19, 2004!!

I think it's great every time the price of gas goes up. I'd love to see it go to $5 or $10 a gallon. No, I'm not crazy and no I don't have a lot of oil company stock. As the price goes up, you'll see fewer and fewer cars on the road driving around for nothing. With fewer cars, there'll be...

    computer problem...please help!!!

It's nice if you can pay someone to fix it for you but that can get expensive and sometimes you may tie your computer up for weeks. Things like that forced me into learning to fix things myself. I've made a couple of mistakes and I still do but at least now I don't have to wait or depend on...

    computer problem...please help!!!

That may be something overheating in the computer. If you leave it off for 20 or 30 minutes that gives it time to cool. I would check that all the fans are working in your computer and make sure that there is a fan on your CPU.

    Backup Power and cable modem

Just be careful if you leave your car running in your driveway overnight, the car may not be there in the morning. It may not be too good for your car to leave it idling for days. I've left mine running for a few hours and it has been fine though. I think it would cost a dollar or two in gas...

    IB TWS automatic login

Here's a copy of what I wrote to startup TWS with Macroexpress. The first line points to a shortcut to start Trader Workstation. I found it too hard to point to the actual program file name to start TWS since you have to start Java at the same time. I have the <ESC> in the third line to get...

    Jurik indicator for Excel

I don't know if it's possible to resell it but does anyone happen to have Jurik Indicator for Excel that they no longer use and would like to resell? I'd like to try an experiment with it but $205 is a little expensive for me until I know it would work. What I'd like to try is to have a...
