A controversial part of Robinhood’s business tripled in sales thanks to high-frequency trading firms

Etrade, and ThinkorSwim are guilty of the same business practice. They sell your order flow to high frequency traders also.

    Question about IB please?

Tiger Brokers, Zions direct, Questrade . . . The more AUM and transparent the broker is, then the more comforting for my mindset. . . You say you don't know the AUM of the firm you work at. Do clients not ask this ever? . . . In my experience., "How big is your firm" is in the top 5 of Questions...

    Question about IB please?

I could but I was more just curious. I wouldn't be able to get approval from my compliance department for Lightspeed in any case. . . In my experience, Assets under Management (AUM) is either a badge of honour or a mark of shame. If the information isn't readily available on their website or...

    Question about IB please?

The broker. Not your clients specifically. t Just was wondering if the firm is a 100 million AUM type firm, 10 AUM billion, or 100 AUM billion type. . . If you can't ballpark it then it's all good.

ETrade dropping pro and going with power etrade from option house?

How's the platform? whats the cost if you don't mind me asking. I get some low-tech clients that like IB pricing and functionality but hate their interface for some reason. It'd be good to give them a simple alternative that combines the pricing and is easier to use.

ETrade dropping pro and going with power etrade from option house?

I haven't tried multi chart. I'm not too much of a chart reader myself. We have a bloomberg terminal at work which i use for research since i find the quality of their research ideas to be very good.

    Sell-Side Struggles with Rule 606

Payment for Order Flow is more like the Broker wanting to collect millions in revenue from HFT because they know most of their clients don't know it's being done. . . Best execution requirements are not too difficult in complying with. . . Brokers sell your order flow to HFT, resulting in...

    Sell-Side Struggles with Rule 606

Better to shine light on this. Payment for Order Flow is the sneakiest way of screwing your clients over. TD Ameritrade, Robinhood, Etrade are all guilty of this.

Was this order a direct sale between two parties?

Check for condition does on the executions. Trade through exemptions or special conditions are tagged to the execution. Easiest way to confirm if an execution is outside the norm. . . Check "QRM" and click for previous executions in the timeframe if you have a Bloomberg Terminal. Cheers,

Why with 3Mil in positions are no stocks are being lent

Securities Lending is a dark market. You're not gonna get the transparency you're looking for from customer service. I deal with short leadings requests on a daily basis in my job. It's likely IB is lending out their clients margined securities ahead of their fully paid securities positions. . ...

A Chinese Brokerage for U.S. Stocks Seeks a Nasdaq Listing

Without this getting into a rant about china's situation or economy. . . It actually does have everything to do with marketing. You can have clients in foreign jurisdictions but you can't market/solicit them without being registered in some jurisdictions. I've spoken to clients living in China...

Looking for a brokerage that is good for penny stocks

I'm on vacation so don't have access to the DTC application at work. They don't publish a list of securities that are non dtc. Though its basically a monopoly on settling Electronic trading. You don't want to be trading non-dtc securities. Settling the security through paper certs is massively...

A Chinese Brokerage for U.S. Stocks Seeks a Nasdaq Listing

A lot of countries have built in rules restricting the marketing of brokerage services to their citizens. Canada is a good example. China may ease up a little bit but they won't open up their markets for the likes of Schwab, TD Ameritrade or, Etrade until their own firms get bigger. Even Tiger...

    When to switch to IB

They monitor my trades for sure. IB sends them my monthly account statements. Different compliance departments have different policies. Your wife's work is among the strictest policies. Though its commonplace is stricter jurisidiction like Singapore. I'm based in Canada. The rules for...
