BBi has a dying business model. I think until they focus on renting video game products, they wont see much growth. Only time I ever go to BBI is to rent a new game and they are always out of them. Here and there I pick up a DVD that they are selling cheap. But actually renting? What for?

Well maybe in the west, but in the east, things are only getting worth. A piece of shit entry level computer job is getting 100s of applicants with 10+ years of experience. I wouldnt be too fooled by a few companies actually doing a little hiring. A lot more firing going on.

What are you talking about? Most of prop traders in the golden years were guys of the street. Academics mean absolute squat in the market. I know people who got hired at Worldco at that time and they werent from any Ivy League.

Much bigger issues than what happens to day traders. We're small potatoes comparing to the picture at large. And not much different between pennying and two traders fighting with limit orders.

ARCA is highway robbery. NYSE specialists are angels comparing to them. It could be because most inventory is on NYSE, but ARCA is not setting a good example as an alternative.
