I should only have made 3 trades today. 1 and 2 are simple pullback trades, and 3 was my last trade of the day. I should have ignored that whole mess at 10AM. I was too busy with my nose in the 1-min chart today to see these simple trades.

Well I have to say I've changed my mind(again) about Jack. He has been posting some helpful stuff in my journal thread. Awful nice thing for a guy to do after some of the things I have said. Do I believe he makes as much as he says? Not really, but I do think he knows what he is talking...

I'm new to this game, and was wondering if this current rally is making daytrading easy. If and when this rally ends and we begin another extended downtrend, am I going to find my setups no longer working? Just curious how different it is. Thanks!

Jack, I appreciate you posting in my thread and I look foward to comparing the results of our styles, and seeing if I can use your suggestions to improve. FWIW I voted you as probably a good trader on that poll. Now you are starting to prove it to me.

Jack, that post is very helpful. This is what I get from this post. In a breakout you draw the initial point 1-2-3. This is the takeoff channel. After this you draw a new point 3 and this is the longer term(cruising) channel. If this channel is broken then you would consider a reverse, correct?

Sometimes if the 3-min is position-neutral I will take a signal off the 1-min, but I want to see quick follow up and I am usually quicker to exit.

I trade the 1 and 3m. I learned to never trade against the 3-minute. This was a costly lesson.
