Is the next legal liability for Oil Stocks "Global Warming"?

If an Oil Company(ies) were sued in a civil case and actually lost, it would open the door for any other companies that used an excessive amount of oil to conduct business. Such as Wal-Mart, Tyson, Yellow, Quick Trip (convenience stores), JiffyLube, etc. etc. Basically any company in the world...

Is the next legal liability for Oil Stocks "Global Warming"?

Is the next legal liability for Oil Stocks "Global Warming"? No. First, it has to be proven beyond reasonable doubt (not really). But more importantly, any company that in any way consumed oil or gasoline to do business would also be liable. Ain't happenin' while gas stations are still servicin'.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tool_%28insult%29 The word "tool" may be used as an insult, describing someone who is being manipulated without their knowledge, implying they are naïve and ignorant. The most common use is to describe someone who is being used by large corporations, the...

Good poker player = good trader?

You won an online satellite, right? So how much off-line experience do you have? I'm not attacking so please don't read into it that way, but how much off-line poker experience do you have playing against people you have never met? That is a very important aspect of tournament play, especially...

Good poker player = good trader?

    I've been thinking of buying-in to event #10. 7 card stud $1,500 buy-in. Last year's first prize was almost 193k from a 826 player pool. If I do buy-in to event #10, and play well, then I might buy-in to event #28. 7 card stud $5,000 buy-in. Last year's first prize was 293k from a 192 player...

    Why do you daytrade?

If I could get 100:1 or more leverage, with cheap enough margin rates, while buying Municipal Bonds I would. Not to "get rich quick", but because it would just make good financial sense to do so. Do a little bit of research and you can figure out why banks don't allow it. Okay fine I'll just...
