TWSLink for linking your Application to TWS

maxchinaski, I cannot get hidden orders to work. I think the problem is because hidden orders only work with the ISLAND exchange, and I am using the SMART exchange. From the log file, it appears that TWS-Link is setting the flag for hidden orders, but the IB TWS ignores it and does not show...

TWSLink for linking your Application to TWS

maxchinaski, I've been using TWSLink. I like it a lot. It seems to be much more reliable and faster than IBController for Amibroker. If you have a moment. I have a couple of questions. (1) How do you submit a a market-on-close ("MOC") order? I can't quite figure out to do it with...

    Best End-of-Day Data Provider?

A few other providers to consider: (1) premiumdata.net, has both stocks and futures data at reasonable prices, including historical data back to 1979 depending on the commodity: (2) msodata.com, looks pretty reasonable: investorLink service is priced at a flat rate of $19.95/month...

DNDN, buy with all you can.

Actually, shorts do read message boards. See Cohodes lawsuit against harry3866, a poster on the TTWO board a few years ago.

TWSLink for linking your Application to TWS

I didn't mean that the location of the logfile was related to the limit price for the orders. What I meant was that I saw something in the logfile that leads me to suspect that the reason that orders are not being transmitted is due to the limit price. Specifically, the log file contained this line:

I found the log file. I think the problem may be because I need to round off the prices for the limit orders to just two decimal places.

TWSLink for linking your Application to TWS

maxchinaski, With respect to a log file, I used this line: TWSLink.INITDLL(2,"twslink.log",6,1,3,4000); However, I searched for twslink.log on my computer drives and could not find the file after executing the Amibroker script. Concerning the stop and profit orders, I need option (3)...

TWSLink for linking your Application to TWS

Thanks for the reply. I would certainly appreciate a sample for use with Amibroker. Presently, Amibroker links to the TWS using IB controller. Your application, however, looks like it's much more capable than IBcontroller and can take advantage of more features.

How do I buy some of those AMD senior notes?

I could only find one AMD bond at IB. It's CUSIP 007903AF4, issued 20021125, having a maturity date of 20071201, and a coupon of 4.5. It is a convertible and the underlying collateral is a senior note.

If you're thinking of going with the Motley Fool, just remember, when they use the word fool, they really mean it, as in if you want to lose 50% of your money, follow their investment advice: By Bill Mann (TMF Otter) January 5, 2001 I guess it should not be surprising that many people...

    Stop Limit Rules for Stocks

Why don't you take a look at InteractiveBrokers, where you have some choice in how your stop limit is triggered? You can choose from last, double last, bid/ask and so forth. I usually select double last for trading equities.
