congrats on the engagement. did she move to Vegas with you? how did she feel about your resigning from your stable job to trade.. especially now in light of the 75% drawdown?
oh by talent i didn't mean stockpicking. i don't think his picks are any better or worse than anyone else's.
i meant talented as in self-promoting huckster/entertainer/motormouth-type who can rattle off the amount of info he can about (an alleged) 500 stocks off the top of his head.
lol. i couldn't take but a few minutes of that on-air seizure, myself.. and i like the guy.
he reminds me alot of Chris Berman and Dick Vitale. they're 3 peas in a pod. they're all very talented, and about the best at what they do.. but you can only take so much of those koo koo clocks in...
here's a few good threads on pairs..

no offense, but i hope it crumbles so i can get back in. :( i forgot to fire up the watchlist when i got to my desk, and missed the run.
unfortunately, it looks like i'll be sittin' it out today. if she gives me another pullback, i'm in.
Mark Haynes just said 19 of the 30 Dow companies have just started their nano R&D. they'll probably blow all these little companies outta the water.. especially those who've yet to secure the more valuable patents.
i pretty much do both. most of my trades are intended do be intraday.. but if they close out strong, i'll scale out of a portion, bank the gain, and keep a small swing position open overnight.
the next day, i'll tape read the position and try to maximize any profit if it continues running...
$5.50, up another $0.73 in the pre-market.
those guys over at yahoo are going bonkers. one of them claims to own 40,000 shares, and yesterday ordered a new lexus. haha..

this was an older guy who's only been here a month or so and still trades small. he had a negative P&L when i walked by his computer, but so i doubt it was more than a couple hundred shares. the market musta caught his other trades short.
true. it could easily have gone back down.
i did buy some more for $4.74 (only 100 shares) right before the close. i felt like making a small overnight gamble. we're at $5.02 now.
i never play these type stocks either, but i figured at $2.90, why not grab 500 shares.
now it's at $4.02, and i've been out the past 52 cents. hate when that happens. i knew i shoulda scaled out.
