    The End Of An Era!

Get a Camaro, man. Beef up the suspension and you have a car that corners with the Lambourghinis. You can rent a mini van for moving!! The kids will hate the back seats in the Camaro though. That will give you a chance to tell them how you walked to school uphill both ways in the snow.

    Esignal 7.4 ActiveX support

I hope somebody developes a plug-in for Excel so that history and realtime updates can be gotten just by pasting a list of issues into a column. This can be done with quote.com's qlink and some VBA programming but it is a hassle to try to work with their data and servers.

Max401 (no relation) just doesn't seem to be in the mood to take shit from people.

    Historical data quality

Qcharts' daily data, at least for stocks, is straight from the exchanges and not scrubbed, the highs and lows may be innacurate. They do scrub their intraday data, not always though, so you can pull up a daily chart and a 390 minute chart for example and see differences. I have pulled up...

    Limit Orders

There may be a simpler way but I have built data in the arrays in TS2k from shorter bar interval data than I want to trade with and then generated signals during the bar I want to trade on. Isn't there a "this bar on close" situation? Check the EZLanguage manual if you have not already, you...

    Multiple Trades Total Performance

Convert them from percentages to multipliers of your account, the 10% becomes a 1.1 and the 6% loss becomes .94. Then you can multiply them together to get the overall effect on your account of the two trades.

    esignal's backtesting capability

I just saw so many posts on the forums regarding backtesting problems with more than one data in a chart that I never went that way after I saw a couple myself. It was about 3 years back, I don't remember the details but I do remember the frustration. I assumed that TS just never debugged that...

    esignal's backtesting capability

And then when you use data 2 in a chart in Tradestation to reference the other timeframe 1) it can't be tick data 2) so many weird bugs will pop up you will give up eventually. I had to resort to building my own longer timeframe data in the arrays with tradestation and then testing on that.

Is it cruel or immoral to neuter one's pet dog?

That reminds me, the animal rights-vegan-anti globalization- pro piercing, acid, free love and tattoos convention is coming up

Is it cruel or immoral to neuter one's pet dog?

A dog's philosophy: If you can't eat it or fuck it then piss on it.

    Settings for EMA and MACD

Some traders use different MACD settings for entries and exits, shorts and longs.

    esignal's backtesting capability

Could you elaborate? I just switched from TS2000 to Esignal. Esignal looks much better in many regards. It has global variables, a formula wizard, good data is included, and the EFS language seems well documented and very easy to use.

    Adaptation

Try working it in with a daytime job sometime!! I have a whole bunch of schemes for trading spread over all sorts of bar intervals, trouble is I have to get one working well enough to replace the job. There is little doubt in my mind that being willing, even eager to adapt is a big thing.
