    My criteria for buying: 1. $0.1 < price < $1 2. price < 2 x 52-week low 3. NYSE, AMEX, and NASDAQ stocks only (IB commsion for OTC stocks is $30)

    I am smarter than that. :D I use IB, where the commision is $1 for 100 shares. N=14, X=$567, so the average purchase price is $567/14 = $40.5. Not as bad as you think, huh? "If a stock costs a penny"? Where did you get the idea I am buying $0.01 stocks? Pay attention dude!
