Seriously, Heatheranderson, if you can't simply spend 30 seconds googling "ES options quotes" and going to one of the 20+ sites which show these quotes for free.... then set aside options for a while and instead, read a few dozen books on Initiative. Yeeeeesh!!!!!!!!!

My philiosophy in general on all of this is to let others much smarter I do all the hard work (such as figuring out COT, bull/bear Rydex ratios, etc.) and I just take that information, form an opinion, add to it my two-bit mickey mouse TA and make a decision. Seems to work most of the time.....

Why would you go long on such an overextended market? - The latest Commitment of Traders is $34B short (an extreme level) - The SPX is hovering far above it's 20-day EMA (typically an entry point for dip buyers) - The NAZ just closed under the 1730 level (showing it was a false...

rdemyan, my 2 cents in response to your three points in reverse order since that's how I see their importance: 3) I'm certain that your performance will improve dramatically once you grasp technical analysis. It's been posted here that to make these trades work, you have to be right on...

Coach, An observation: I seem to get filled much faster on trades that, over the course of the next 2 to 4 weeks after my fill, turn out to be directionally wrong. Conversely, it takes longer to get filled on trades which turn out to be directionally correct in the weeks to follow. It's...

Well done TOS. My ballpark calculations on the founders' net gain: If Technology Crossover took a 40% stake for $22.5M, that left 60% -- let's say 35% for employees/management and 25% for 2 founders -- 12.5% each. Assume TCV had participating preferred shares with 1x liquidation...

Coach (and everyone else), 1) How much below the mid are you having to go these days? I'm not getting filled until $0.15 at least... 2) Do you calculate the fair value of a credit spread before you put it on? For example for AUG 1130/1140 bull put spread with a mid at xx cents, do bother...
